HE1032 Electric Power Engineering I 8.0 credits

This cours is about how electric energy supports our everyday life and how it is transmitted from power plants to our computers, mobile phone chargers and electric cars. We look in behind the power socket and learn how to control the current is controlled in efficient and safe waysl Without a reliable electric energy supply wouldn’t life be as comfortable and safe.
However, we are also facing new challenges, e.g smart grids that enable the users also to be producers. Solar panels, wind mills and smart heating boilers that also produce electricity can play an important role. In this course we give you the basic skills for becoming a master of electric energy!
