Information for students admitted to a Master's programme at KTH
Congratulations for being accepted to a Master's programme at KTH!
As soon as you have recieved your Letter of Admission to KTH there are a number of important areas to look into, such as residence permit, insurance, arrival information, accommodation, etc.
Study the information on these pages carefully in order to avoid problems! Please follow the links to the left.
Important for admitted students / FAQ:s
- You do NOT need to confirm your admission, unless you receive an e-mail/letter directly from the programme you have been admitted to, where this information is specifically requested
- The Letter of admission that you have received on Studera.nu can be printed as a PDF-file and should be used when you apply for a Visa
- Students nominated to a scholarship by the Swedish Institute, SI, will be notified via e-mail. If you do not recieve any notification, you have not been nominated.
- In case you need a certificate for stating living costs in Stockholm, please use the document below:
- Arrival day autumn 09: August 18
- Start of autumn semester 09: August 29
- Last day for registration autumn semester 09: September 15

On-line discussion forum
The Swedish Institute, SI, provides a forum for international students in Sweden - www.swedenintouch.se. Here you can chat with other KTH-students and discuss relevant issues for your studies and life in Sweden, before, during and after your stay.
Information for enrolled students
As soon as you have arrived and been enrolled to KTH, you should visit the Student web (in English) for relevant information. It includes information regarding practical and administrative matters during your stay at KTH.
