Single courses at KTH - information in English
Single courses offered at KTH, profiled further education courses and courses within regular programmes, are availailable for persons living/residing in Sweden and are mainly taught in Swedish. However, a number of those courses are also given in English and therefore applicable for persons without the required knowledge of Swedish. Single courses cannot normally be combined into a degree issued by KTH.
Applying to single courses
All single courses should be applied to on studera.nu, the national web site
Course within KTH`s regular Engineering/Master´s programmes which is not offered and applicable on studera.nu are not accepting single course students.
Single courses cannot normally be combined into a KTH degree. For this purpose, you must have been admitted to a Master´s programme.

Application on studera.nu - the national web site
Some single courses (profiled further education courses and a number of courses within regular KTH programmes) should be applied to on the national web site www.studera.nu, if presented there. You will also find these courses in a list on the link below.
APPLICATION DEADLINES
• April 15 (autumn courses)
• October 15 (spring courses)
• March 15 (summer courses)
Certificates according to "Documentation of eligibility" below should be submitted to VHS, Antagningen, 833 82 Strömsund.
ADMISSION
You will be notified by studera.nu when the selection procedure is completed. If admitted, you are requested to accept the study place/s offered. If not, you will loose your study place.
LATE APPLICATIONS
Late applications arrived after application deadline will be handled only when time admits. Applications after the course has started are not applicable at all.
COURSE CANCELLING
Please note that a course might be cancelled if the number of applications/admitted students is too small.
Single courses applicable on studera.nu
Documentation of eligibility
All courses have entrance requisites. For courses at undergraduate level, taught in English, completed upper secondary education is required and applicants should therefore provide proof by submitting certified copies from upper secondary school, diploma and transcripts in the original language and authorized translation.
For courses at advanced level, academic records from a accredited universitiy should be submitted. Officially verified and certified diplomas and transcipts in the original language and authorized translations should be submitted.
Proficiency in English
Applicants to English spoken courses must provide proof of their proficiency in English, which is most commonly established through an internationally recognized test.
KTH accepts the following TOEFL test scores:
• Paper-based test: total result of 550 (written test, grade 4)
• Internet-based test: total result of 79 (written test, grade 17)
• Computer-based test: total result of 213 (essay rating, grade 4)
TOEFL code: 9520.
KTH accepts an IELTS score of at least 6.0, no band lower than 5.0 (only Academic Training accepted).
