Photo: Tindra Thor \u00a9 London, November 2015<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The VR funded project Cosmopolitanism from the Margins, lead by Miyase Christensen and hosted by the Division, recently ended. The planned\u00a0final product of the project was a guest-edited\u200b\u00a0journal special issue\u00a0&#8220;Postnormative Cosmopolitanism: Voice, Space and Politics&#8221; \u00a0for\u00a0the\u00a0<em>International Communication Gazette,\u00a0<\/em>which can be found here: <a href=\"http:\/\/journals.sagepub.com\/toc\/gazb\/79\/6-7\">http:\/\/journals.sagepub.com\/toc\/gazb\/79\/6-7<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The journal includes an article written by Miyase together with doctoral student Tindra Thor, about street art and graffiti in Stockholm and London.\u00a0The article is based on two case studies and discuss how graffiti and street art provide forms of expressive cosmopolitanism in reclaiming voice and reciprocity in the city.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the Cosmopolitanism project was to bring together\u00a0humanities and social sciences perspectives\u00a0(from cultural\u00a0cosmopolitanism, urban studies,\u00a0visual geopolitics to\u00a0political economy,\u00a0queer theory, mediation, etc.) to\u00a0address\u00a0various political, social, cultural questions.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0 Our conversations\u00a0in the\u00a0hallway, in the kitchen,\u00a0and in gatherings\u00a0outside the office; our\u00a0chats\u00a0over politics,\u00a0life, media, Stockholm\u00a0and more!\u00a0during\u00a0lunchtime\u00a0have\u00a0all been greatly\u00a0inspiring throughout the life of this\u200b\u00a0project\u00a0in this international\u200b division, says Miyase<\/p>\n<p>The project started in 2012 and ended this year. Miyase will now continue the work with the Division as project member of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kth.se\/abe\/inst\/philhist\/historia\/forskning\/history-of-science-o\/arctic-governance-and-the-questions-of-fit-in-an-era-of-globally-transformative-change-1.760102\">Arctic governance and the questions of \u00b4fit\u00b4 in an era of globally transformative change: a critical geopolitics of regional international cooperation<\/a>\u00a0funded by Formas.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The VR funded project Cosmopolitanism from the Margins, lead by Miyase Christensen and hosted by the Division, recently ended.
