Jag har arbetat ett antal \u00e5r p\u00e5 KTH och under denna tid har vi aldrig f\u00f6rs\u00f6kt oss p\u00e5 att g\u00f6ra det vi nu ska genomf\u00f6ra. Vi ska kartl\u00e4gga st\u00f6dverksamhetens olika funktionsomr\u00e5den, f\u00f6r att d\u00e4refter ta fram <em>gemensamma<\/em> processer, arbetss\u00e4tt med mera. Fr\u00e5n och med den 1 januari 2023 kommer all st\u00f6dverksamhet vid KTH att ligga inom en gemensam linjeorganisation under universitetsdirekt\u00f6ren.<\/p>\n<p>N\u00e4r skolorna bildades fick samtliga skolor i uppdrag att s\u00e4tta sin egen st\u00f6dverksamhet. Det innebar naturligtvis att skolorna utvecklade olika arbetss\u00e4tt, processer, anst\u00e4llde sina egna resurser, utvecklade och anpassade st\u00f6det specifikt kopplat till den egna skolan. Nu ska vi tillsammans f\u00f6rs\u00f6ka oss p\u00e5 att hitta en gemensam v\u00e4g fram\u00e5t.<\/p>\n<p>De funktionsomr\u00e5den som vi nu kartl\u00e4gger \u00e4r Ekonomi, HR, Utbildning, Kommunikation och Infrastruktur. Jag har tillsammans med KTH:s ekonomichef f\u00e5tt i uppdrag att se \u00f6ver ekonomiomr\u00e5det, vilket jag tycker ska bli sp\u00e4nnande och utmanande. Utmanande \u00e4r nog det r\u00e4tta ordet. Mina kollegor sa idag p\u00e5 ett m\u00f6te: \u201dHur v\u00e5gade du tacka ja till detta uppdrag?\u201d S\u00e5 nu sitter jag h\u00e4r och f\u00e5r lite hicka. Visst f\u00f6rstod jag att det \u00e4r och kommer vara en utmaning under hela 2022 n\u00e4r allt detta ska ske, men jag t\u00e4nkte att tillsammans med kollegor och framf\u00f6rallt ekonomiansvariga vid skolorna och GVS\u2019 enhetschefer, borde det inte bli s\u00e5 kontroversiellt. Om vi bara bortser fr\u00e5n v\u00e5r egen organisation och lyfter blicken mot en gemensam m\u00e5lbild samt anv\u00e4nder lite logiskt t\u00e4nkande. D\u00e5 borde vi ro det hela i land.<\/p>\n<p>Jag tror att ett framg\u00e5ngskoncept \u00e4r att vi lyfter klyftan mellan skolorna och GVS. Vi har idag inte ett likv\u00e4rdigt uppdrag, vi har inte samma f\u00f6ruts\u00e4ttningar, vi har inte insikt i den ena eller den andras situation. Och f\u00f6r att vi ska lyckas beh\u00f6ver vi se och respektera varandras roller och olikheter. Det \u00e4r ett f\u00f6rsta steg f\u00f6r att d\u00e4refter bygga n\u00e5got gemensamt. Det h\u00e4r arbetss\u00e4ttet \u00e4r ovanligt p\u00e5 KTH. Oftast har ett beslut lagts \u00f6ver hur det ska vara. Den h\u00e4r g\u00e5ngen vet vi inte riktigt hur det kommer att bli, eftersom vi nu \u00e4r en del i framtagandet. S\u00e5 nu har vi chansen att vara med och p\u00e5verka och anv\u00e4nda all den kunskap som finns inom ekonomiomr\u00e5det \u00f6ver hela KTH.<\/p>\n<p>F\u00f6rsta gemensamma workshopen \u00e4r redan p\u00e5 fredag och jag tro att vi kommer att ha mycket energi i rummet! Och ja, jag \u00e4r fortfarande taggad inf\u00f6r uppdraget och jag \u00e4r \u00f6vertygad att gruppen gemensamt kommer att lyckas med uppgiften, f\u00f6r det \u00e4r naturligtvis inte jag eller KTH:s ekonomichef Susanne som kan eller ska lyckas med detta p\u00e5 egen hand. H\u00e4r kommer alla involverade att beh\u00f6vas, f\u00f6r det \u00e4r en sv\u00e5r n\u00f6t att kn\u00e4cka.\u00a0Men skam den som ger sig!<\/p>\n<p>\/Christina Carlsson, Administrativ chef p\u00e5 ITM-skolan<\/p>\n<h2>&#8220;Now we have the chance to influence&#8221;<\/h2>\n<p>There are busy days in the support activities at KTH. I have worked for many years at KTH, and during this time, we have never come close to what we now are going to do. We will survey the support areas and then develop common processes, working methods, etc. From 1 January 2023, all support activities at KTH will be within a joint line organization under the university director.<\/p>\n<p>When the schools were born, they all were commissioned to set up their own support activities. This, of course, meant that the schools developed different working methods and processes, employed their resources, and developed and adapted the support specifically linked to their school. Now we will together try to find a common way forward.<\/p>\n<p>The support areas that we are now surveying\u00a0are Finance, HR, Education, Communication and Infrastructure. Together with KTH&#8217;s CFO, I am asked to review the finance area, which I think will be exciting and challenging. Challenging is probably the right word. My colleagues said at a meeting today: &#8220;How did you dare accept this assignment?&#8221; So now I&#8217;m sitting here getting a minor hiccup. Of course, I understood that it is and will be a challenge throughout 2022 when all this happens. Still, I thought it should not be so controversial if I collaborate with colleagues, especially finance managers at the schools and GVS&#8217; unit heads. If we just ignore our own organization for once, visualize a common goal, and use a little logical thinking. Then we should manage it.<\/p>\n<p>I believe that we need to highlight the gap between the schools and GVS to succeed. Today we do not have an equivalent assignment; we do not have the same conditions; we do not have insight into one or the other&#8217;s situation. And for us to succeed, we need to see and respect each other&#8217;s roles and differences. It is the first step to then build something in common. This way of working is unusual at KTH. More often, a decision has been made about how it should be. This time we do not know what it will be like because we are part of the development. So today, we have the chance to be involved and influence and use all the knowledge that exists in finance throughout KTH.<\/p>\n<p>The first joint workshop is already on Friday, and I think we will have a lot of energy in the room! And yes, I am still excited about the assignment, and I am convinced that the group will jointly succeed with the task because it is not me or KTH&#8217;s CFO Susanne who will do this independently. Everyone involved will be needed because it is a tricky riddle to solve.
