Sj\u00e4lv planerar jag att \u00e5ka p\u00e5 \u00e5rets CDIO konferens 26-29 juni som arrangeras av NTNU vars tema \u00e4r <em>Engineering education for a smart, safe and sustainable future<\/em>. Det vore roligt om fler ITM-medarbetare var d\u00e4r; \u201d<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ntnu.edu\/cdio\/call\">Early registration<\/a>\u201d \u00e4r redan \u00f6ppen!<\/p>\n<p>Precis nu \u00e4r alla skolans masterprogramansvariga f\u00e4rdiga med sina granskningar av de externa studenter som ans\u00f6kt om att f\u00e5 b\u00f6rja p\u00e5 n\u00e5got av v\u00e5ra masterprogram fr\u00e5n och med HT23. Vi kommer kunna erbjuda fler internationella studenter plats p\u00e5 v\u00e5ra program i \u00e5r, vilket \u00e4r gl\u00e4djande, men samtidigt har vi en f\u00f6r stor variation i s\u00f6ktrycket mellan skolans olika masterprogram s\u00e5 det m\u00e5ste vi arbeta med fram\u00f6ver. Ur ett strategiskt perspektiv \u00e4r det viktigt att vi dels analyserar om alla skolans masterprogram har tillr\u00e4cklig synlighet, dels om de har en tillr\u00e4ckligt aktuell profil.<\/p>\n<p>Dessutom arbetar skolans ledningsgrupp med <a href=\"https:\/\/intra.kth.se\/aktuellt\/nyheter\/kth-ser-over-ekonomin-1.1227438\">rektorsbeslutet Ekonomi-i-balans<\/a>. F\u00f6r GRU-sidan \u00e4r en viktig aspekt av beslutet att vi kommer ha m\u00f6jlighet att \u00f6ka antalet kursomg\u00e5ngar som externa personer kan l\u00e4sa som en del av deras fort- och vidareutbildning. S\u00e5 om ni har f\u00f6rslag p\u00e5 exempelvis programkurser som ges under HT23, d\u00e4r ni g\u00e4rna ser att det finns en parallell kursomg\u00e5ng f\u00f6r externa studenter s\u00e5 meddela g\u00e4rna er studierektor direkt! M\u00e5let \u00e4r att ITM-skolan ska kunna erbjuda minst 100 fler externa studenter m\u00f6jlighet att l\u00e4sa en kurs hos oss redan under HT23.<\/p>\n<p>Det h\u00e4nder ocks\u00e5 en hel del inom programmet f\u00f6r Framtidens Utbildning och jag vill framf\u00f6r allt belysa medskaparkampanjen som p\u00e5g\u00e5r just nu. Den startade f\u00f6rra veckan under SoTL-konferensen och syftar till att f\u00e5 in olika perspektiv och nya id\u00e9er till ramverkets inneh\u00e5ll utifr\u00e5n alla KTH:s medarbetare och studenter. KTH:s grundutbildningsutskott arbetar med att ta fram en rekommendation kring hur vi l\u00e4rare b\u00f6r f\u00f6rh\u00e5lla oss till studenternas anv\u00e4ndning av AI-verktyg i v\u00e5r undervisning och examination. I plan to attend this year&#8217;s CDIO conference on June 26-29, organized by NTNU, with the theme &#8220;Engineering education for a smart, safe and sustainable future&#8221;. It would be nice if more ITM employees were there; &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ntnu.edu\/cdio\/call\">Early registration<\/a>&#8221; is already open.<\/p>\n<p>Right now, all the school&#8217;s master&#8217;s programme directors have finished their reviews of the external students applying to any of our master&#8217;s programmes in HT23. We will be able to offer more international students places in our programmes this year, which is gratifying. At the same time, the number of applicants between the school&#8217;s programmes varies too much, so we need to address that going forward. From a strategic perspective, we must analyze whether all the school&#8217;s master&#8217;s programmes have sufficient visibility and updated profiles.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the school&#8217;s management team works with the <a href=\"https:\/\/intra.kth.se\/aktuellt\/nyheter\/kth-ser-over-ekonomin-1.1227438\">president&#8217;s decision to get the economy in balance<\/a>. For the GRU side, an important aspect of the decision is that we will have the opportunity to increase the number of course rounds that external people can take as part of their further education. So if you have suggestions for, for example, programme courses for HT23, where it\u2019s suitable with a parallel round of courses for external students, please tell your director of studies! The goal for the ITM school is to offer at least 100 more external students the opportunity to study a course with us already during HT23.<\/p>\n<p>There is also a lot happening within the program for Future Education, and above all, I would like to highlight the co-creator campaign that is currently underway. It started last week during the SoTL conference and aims to bring together different perspectives and ideas from KTH employees and students for the framework&#8217;s content. KTH&#8217;s First and Second Cycle Education Committee (Grundutbildningsutskott) is working on developing a recommendation regarding how teachers should deal with the students&#8217; use of AI tools in our teaching and examinations.
