Det kanske beror p\u00e5 att vi hanterar m\u00e5nga f\u00f6r\u00e4ndringar i arbetslivet och fokuserar p\u00e5 att anpassa oss till dem och hitta innovativa l\u00f6sningar.<\/p>\n<p>Jag vill exemplifiera med n\u00e5gra f\u00f6r\u00e4ndringar som vissa av er har upplevt under den h\u00e4r terminen:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>ITM:s Verksamhetsst\u00f6d har b\u00f6rjat anpassa sig till en ny situation eftersom de nu tillh\u00f6r det \u00f6vergripande KTH-st\u00f6det men fortfarande representerar ITM-skolan. Det inkluderar m\u00e5nga m\u00f6ten i nya grupper och att hitta gemensamma l\u00f6sningar f\u00f6r att f\u00f6rb\u00e4ttra effektiviteten.<\/li>\n<li>L\u00e4rarna erbjuder extra st\u00f6d och examinationstillf\u00e4llen till studenter som ligger efter i sina studier. Detta beror p\u00e5 att rektorn vill \u00f6ka int\u00e4kterna fr\u00e5n utbildningen. F\u00f6r n\u00e4rvarande m\u00e5ste KTH \u00e5terbetala till regeringen eftersom vi inte levererar lika mycket utbildning som vi har kapacitet f\u00f6r.<\/li>\n<li>Anst\u00e4llda vid Institutionen f\u00f6r produktionsutveckling (IPU) i S\u00f6dert\u00e4lje har p\u00e5b\u00f6rjat en unders\u00f6kning f\u00f6r att bed\u00f6ma om utbildningens och forskningens kvalitet kan f\u00f6rb\u00e4ttras genom att flytta de flesta verksamheterna till Valhallav\u00e4gen Campus. Denna unders\u00f6kning kommer att forts\u00e4tta efter sommaren f\u00f6r att landa i en rapport. D\u00e4refter kommer KTH:s styrelse att utv\u00e4rdera resultaten och fatta ett slutgiltigt beslut.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Anst\u00e4llda vid Institutionen f\u00f6r l\u00e4rande har f\u00f6rberett sig f\u00f6r att flytta till sina nya lokaler p\u00e5 Brinellv\u00e4gen 66 strax efter sommaren. Detta har ocks\u00e5 involverat anst\u00e4llda vid Energiteknik och Produktionsutveckling, som har beh\u00f6vt flytta en eller tv\u00e5 g\u00e5nger f\u00f6r att m\u00f6jligg\u00f6ra m\u00e5lning och underh\u00e5ll av rumen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>H\u00e4r vill jag s\u00e4rskilt uttrycka mitt innerliga tack till projektledaren Anneli Ylitalo-Qvarfordt f\u00f6r hennes enorma anstr\u00e4ngningar att samordna dessa aktiviteter som involverar folk fr\u00e5n ITM, KTH, Akademiska Hus och underentrepren\u00f6rer. Stort tack, Anneli, f\u00f6r att du genomf\u00f6r detta p\u00e5 ett energiskt och engagerat s\u00e4tt!<\/p>\n<h3>\u00c4r alla dessa f\u00f6r\u00e4ndringar negativa f\u00f6r oss som m\u00e4nniskor?<\/h3>\n<p>Tja, jag har till exempel h\u00f6rt fr\u00e5n vissa personer som p\u00e5verkats av flytten till Brinellv\u00e4gen att de \u00f6nskar att skolchefen skulle skickas till en mycket varm plats under jordens yta f\u00f6r att ha initierat detta! Samtidigt s\u00e4ger andra: &#8220;Det h\u00e4r \u00e4r bra eftersom jag m\u00e5ste rensa ut saker fr\u00e5n mitt rum som jag aldrig har anv\u00e4nt, och jag \u00e4r ocks\u00e5 glad att se att vissa kollegor inte till\u00e5ts anv\u00e4nda stora rum som de \u00e4nd\u00e5 s\u00e4llan anv\u00e4nder.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Min slutsats \u00e4r att varje f\u00f6r\u00e4ndring framkallar en reaktion som p\u00e5verkar v\u00e5rt arbetsliv p\u00e5 ett eller annat s\u00e4tt.<\/p>\n<p>Jag vill tacka er alla f\u00f6r era insatser under detta halv\u00e5r! Varje insats har bidragit till att g\u00f6ra ITM och KTH till en mer effektiv organisation. Er vilja att samarbeta och interagera med varandra har ocks\u00e5 hj\u00e4lpt oss att skapa en bra arbetsplats.<\/p>\n<p>Snart \u00e4r det dags f\u00f6r sommarsemester. Jag hoppas att ni kommer att njuta av semestern med v\u00e4nner och familj. Jag antar att ni \u00f6nskar att er lediga tid ocks\u00e5 inkluderar f\u00f6r\u00e4ndringar f\u00f6r att g\u00f6ra den mer givande: mer regn, mer sol, f\u00e4rre insekter osv\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\/P\u00e4r J\u00f6nsson, skolchef f\u00f6r ITM-skolan<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Don&#8217;t we need changes in life?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Dear colleagues,<\/p>\n<p>I do not know about you, but I feel that this half-year has passed very fast! Possibly because we are dealing with many changes in working life, and we focus on adapting to those and finding innovative solutions.<\/p>\n<p>I wish to exemplify with some changes that some of you have experienced this semester:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>ITM&#8217;s University Administration (VS) have started to adapt to a new situation since they now belong to the overall KTH Administration but still represent the ITM School. This includes many meetings in new groups and finding joint solutions to improve efficiency.<\/li>\n<li>The teachers provide extra support and exams to students falling behind in their studies. This is because the President wants to increase education income. Currently, KTH has to return money to the government because we are not delivering as much education as we have the capacity for.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The employees at the Department of Production Engineering (IPU) in S\u00f6dert\u00e4lje have begun an investigation to assess whether the quality of education and research could be enhanced by relocating most of the activities to the Valhallav\u00e4gen Campus. This investigation will continue after the summer to complete a report. Subsequently, the board at KTH will evaluate the findings and make a final decision.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>The Department of Learning in Engineering Sciences employees have prepared to move to their new offices at Brinellv\u00e4gen 66 just after the summer. This has also involved the employees at Energy Technology and Production Engineering, who had to move once or twice to enable painting and service to the rooms.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I wish to especially express my heartful thanks to the project leader Anneli Ylitalo-Qvarfordt for her enormous efforts to coordinate these activities involving people from ITM, KTH, Akademiska Hus and subcontractors. Many thanks, Anneli, for carrying out this activity in an energetic and dedicated manner!<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Are all these changes negative for us as humans? <\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Well, I have, for example, heard from some people affected by the move at Brinellv\u00e4gen that they wish that the Head of School should be sent to a very hot place below the Earth&#8217;s surface for initiating this! At the same time, others say, &#8220;This is great because I have to clean out things from my room that I never used, and I am also glad to see that some colleagues are not allowed to occupy large rooms that they seldom use anyway&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>My conclusion is that any change causes a reaction that influences our working life in one way or another.<\/p>\n<p>I wish to thank all of you for your efforts during this half year! Each effort has contributed to making ITM and KTH a more efficient organization. Your eagerness to collaborate and interact with each other has also helped us create a good workplace.<\/p>\n<p>Soon it is time for summer vacation. I hope all of you will enjoy the vacation with friends and family.
