{"id":1181,"date":"2023-11-29T11:24:44","date_gmt":"2023-11-29T10:24:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.kth.se\/blogs\/itm-management\/?p=1181"},"modified":"2023-11-29T11:25:02","modified_gmt":"2023-11-29T10:25:02","slug":"ready-to-lead-another-four-years","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kth.se\/blogs\/itm-management\/2023\/11\/ready-to-lead-another-four-years\/","title":{"rendered":"Ready to lead another four years"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"post-content-wrapper\"><p>In English further down.<\/p>\n<h2>Redo att leda i fyra \u00e5r till<\/h2>\n<p>K\u00e4ra kollegor, jag har nu f\u00e5tt besked fr\u00e5n rektor att jag kan forts\u00e4tta leda ITM i ytterligare fyra \u00e5r, med start den 1 januari 2024. Jag \u00e4r mycket glad \u00f6ver chansen att forts\u00e4tta p\u00e5 den h\u00e4r positionen. Det \u00e4r ett sant n\u00f6je att arbeta med er, mina kollegor p\u00e5 ITM, och forts\u00e4tta utveckla ITM-andan med en \u00f6ppenhet och samarbetsvilja som vi har lagt grunden f\u00f6r det senaste decenniet.<\/p>\n<p>Som vi alla vet har m\u00e5nga f\u00f6r\u00e4ndringar skett under de senaste fyra \u00e5ren, d\u00e4r kanske pandemin var den st\u00f6rsta utmaningen d\u00e5 vi var tvungna att \u00f6verg\u00e5 till att utf\u00f6ra arbetet hemifr\u00e5n. Vi kommer naturligtvis beh\u00f6va hantera utmaningar \u00e4ven under de kommande fyra \u00e5ren.<\/p>\n<p>Fr\u00e5n och med den 1 januari 2024 kommer vi att inf\u00f6ra ITM:s fakultetsn\u00e4mnd som best\u00e5r av representanter fr\u00e5n fakulteten, studenter, externa organisationer och fackf\u00f6reningar. Denna n\u00e4mnd kommer att fokusera p\u00e5 hur kvalit\u00e9n i forskning och undervisning kan f\u00f6rb\u00e4ttras. M\u00f6ten kommer att h\u00e5llas en g\u00e5ng i m\u00e5naden. Den nya fakultetsn\u00e4mnden kommer att hj\u00e4lpa ITM:s skolledning att utveckla skolan i framtiden. ITM:s skolledning kommer naturligtvis ocks\u00e5 att forts\u00e4tta att arbeta med den viktiga ledningsgruppen d\u00e4r prefekter och administrativ chef diskuterar skolans framtid ur en strategisk och operativ synvinkel.<\/p>\n<p>N\u00e4r vi nu g\u00e5r \u00f6ver fr\u00e5n h\u00f6st- till vinters\u00e4song blir dagarna kortare f\u00f6r varje dag. Jag tycker att det \u00e4r extra viktigt att ta tillf\u00e4llet i akt och promenera f\u00f6r att njuta av solen eller \u00e5tminstone det ljus som finns tillg\u00e4ngligt. P\u00e5 kv\u00e4llarna hamnar jag ofta framf\u00f6r brasan f\u00f6r att f\u00e5 lite ljus och v\u00e4rme fr\u00e5n elden. F\u00f6r mig \u00e4r det en sorts meditation d\u00e4r jag slappnar av och njuter av livet. Kanske var det likadant f\u00f6r de f\u00f6rsta m\u00e4nniskorna, som l\u00e4rde sig att t\u00e4nda en eld, efter att ha \u00e4gnat hela dagen \u00e5t att samla mat och ved?<\/p>\n<p>Jag ser fram emot att forts\u00e4tta arbeta med er alla under de kommande fyra \u00e5ren. Tack \u00e4n en g\u00e5ng f\u00f6r att ni tror p\u00e5 mig!<\/p>\n<p>\/P\u00e4r J\u00f6nsson, skolchef f\u00f6r ITM-skolan<\/p>\n<h2>Ready to lead another four years<\/h2>\n<p>Dear colleagues,<br \/>\nI have received the decision from the President that I can continue to lead ITM for another four years, starting from January 1, 2024. I feel very happy to have a chance to continue at this position. It is a pleasure to work with you my colleagues at ITM and continue to develop the ITM spirit with an openness and collaboration willingness we have laid the foundation for the last decade.<\/p>\n<p>As we all know, many changes have taken place in the last four years, where maybe the pandemic was the biggest challenge where we had to make a transition to carry out our work from home. We will, of course, also have to deal with challenges during the coming four years.<\/p>\n<p>From January 1, 2024 we will introduce the ITM Faculty Board consisting of representatives from the faculty, students, external organisations and unions. This board will focus on how the quality in research and teaching can be improved. Meetings will be held once a month. This new faculty board will assist the ITM School Management to develop the school in the future. The ITM School Management will, of course, also continue to work with the important group ITM Management Group where the Department Heads and the Administrative Head discusses the school\u2019s future from a strategic and operational point of view.<\/p>\n<p>As we are making a transition from the fall to the winter seasons, the days are getting shorter for every day. I feel it is extra important to take the opportunities to find time for walks to catch any of the sun or at least light available. In the evenings, I end up in front of the fire place to catch some light and warmth from the fire. For me it is some kind of meditation where I relax and enjoy life. Maybe it was similar to the first humans, who learned how to start at fire, after having spent the whole day to gather food and wood ?<\/p>\n<p>I am looking forward to continue working with all of you the coming four years!
