Jag respekterar naturligtvis beslutet och kan f\u00f6rst\u00e5 att det kanske \u00e4r n\u00f6dv\u00e4ndigt att genomf\u00f6ra denna f\u00f6r\u00e4ndring. Men, nog k\u00e4nns det lite snopet. Jag kommer s\u00e5 v\u00e4l ih\u00e5g n\u00e4r skolorna bildades. Varje skola skulle bygga sitt eget verksamhetsst\u00f6d. Bengt, som d\u00e5 blev skolchef kom en dag in i mitt rum och sl\u00e4ngde sig ner i f\u00e5t\u00f6ljen och sa: &#8220;Vill du bli administrativ chef vid ITM-skolan?&#8221; Svaret p\u00e5 detta var naturligtvis ja. Jag minns ocks\u00e5 sv\u00e5righeterna med att bilda VS ITM. Jag var administrativ chef men hade inget personalansvar, vilket innebar att p\u00e5 m\u00f6ten var vi \u00f6verens, men sedan gick alla ut till respektive institution och d\u00e4r var mina medarbetare ocks\u00e5 \u00f6verens, dock inte alltid om samma saker. S\u00e5, jag f\u00f6rst\u00e5r att VS KTH \u00e4r sv\u00e5rt att styra utan att ha mandatet att kunna styra SAK-omr\u00e5det. Inte heller hade vi som \u201dblev\u201d administrativa chefer ett gemensamt formulerat uppdrag, s\u00e5 det \u00e4r inte konstigt att skolorna allteftersom har kommit att organiseras helt olika trots att uppdraget och arbetsuppgifterna naturligtvis \u00e4r desamma \u00f6ver skolorna.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/intra.kth.se\/aktuellt\/nyheter\/samorganisation-nasta-steg-i-utvecklingen-av-vs-1.1301667\">L\u00e4s om beslutet h\u00e4r<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Nu f\u00e5r vi administrativa chefer p\u00e5 skolorna ta ett steg tillbaka, det k\u00e4nns viktigt att inte ha fingrarna i syltburken efter april. Det blir viktigt att de personer som blir linjechefer f\u00e5r r\u00e4tt f\u00f6ruts\u00e4ttningar att tillsammans utforma det administrativa st\u00f6d som KTH best\u00e4mt sig f\u00f6r. Men nog kommer jag att sakna mina medarbetare som jag arbetat tillsammans med under en s\u00e5 l\u00e5ng tid. Vi har ju tillsammans byggt VS ITM till det st\u00f6d som finns idag. Om man l\u00e4ser av medarbetarunders\u00f6kningen s\u00e5 \u00e4r det tre saker som sticker ut vid VS ITM; tydlighet, inkludering och utveckling! Enligt min mening \u00e4r det just de parametrarna som g\u00f6r en organisation till en arbetsplats d\u00e4r man trivs, har h\u00f6gt i tak och d\u00e4r man har m\u00f6jlighet att p\u00e5verka.<\/p>\n<p>Fr\u00e5n 1 januari ska jag tillsammans med n\u00e5gra medarbetare bygga ett \u201dledningskansli\u201d vid ITM. Ett kansli som ska ge st\u00f6d till skolledningen, n\u00e4mnderna samt institutionernas ledningar. Jag k\u00e4nner stor tillf\u00f6rsikt om att vi ska komma att beh\u00e5lla den milj\u00f6 vid byggt upp samt ge ett verksamhetsn\u00e4ra st\u00f6d till skolans ledningsfunktioner. Detta blir ett nytt uppdrag, vilket jag hoppas och tror ska bli lika sp\u00e4nnande att utveckla, precis som det var att bygga VS ITM. Man ska komma ih\u00e5g att inget varar f\u00f6r alltid.<\/p>\n<p>God Jul och Gott Nytt \u00e5r till er alla!<\/p>\n<p>\/Christina Carlsson, Administrativ chef p\u00e5 ITM-skolan<\/p>\n<h2>The decision is now made!<\/h2>\n<p>As of 1 April, the schools&#8217; HR, Finance, and Communication departments will belong to the KTH university administration, not the schools. Of course, I respect the decision and understand that it may be necessary to make this change. However, it is a bit of a bummer. I remember so well when the schools were formed. Each school was to build its own local university administration. Bengt, who became head of school, walked into my room one day, sat down in the armchair, and said: &#8220;Do you want to be the administrative head of the ITM school?&#8221;. The answer to this was, of course, yes. I also remember the difficulties forming ITM\u2019s administration. I was Head of administration but had no responsibility for personnel, which meant that in meetings, we agreed. After that, everyone returned to their respective departments, and my colleagues also agreed, although not always on the same things. So, I understand that KTH\u2019s University Administration is difficult to control without having the mandate to control the departments. Nor did we, who became administrative heads, have a jointly formulated mission, so it is not surprising that the schools have gradually come to be organized entirely differently, even though the mission and tasks are the same across the schools.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/intra.kth.se\/en\/aktuellt\/nyheter\/samorganisation-nasta-steg-i-utvecklingen-av-vs-1.1301667\">Read about the decision here<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Now, the administrative heads at the schools have to take a step back, and it feels important not to interfere after April. It will be important that the people who become line managers are given the right possibilities to jointly design the administrative support that KTH has decided on. But I will certainly miss my colleagues who I have worked with for such a long time. Together we have built VS ITM into what we have today. If you read the employee survey, there are three things that stand out at ITM administration: clarity, inclusion and development! In my opinion, it is precisely these parameters that turn an organization into a workplace where you thrive, have an open-door policy and where you have the opportunity to influence.<\/p>\n<p>From 1 January, together with a few colleagues, I will build a \u201cmanagement office\u201d at ITM, an office that will provide support to the school management, the committees and the management of the departments. I feel very confident that we will maintain what we have built up and provide support to the school&#8217;s management functions. This will be a new mission, which I hope and believe will be as exciting to develop, just as it was to build ITM\u2019s University Administration.
