Christina&#8217;s management office will, among other things, prepare matters for them.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In English further down.<\/p>\n<h2>En f\u00f6r\u00e4ndrad organisation<\/h2>\n<p>Om tv\u00e5 m\u00e5nader, den 1 april, \u00e4r jag inte l\u00e4ngre administrativ chef vid ITM-skolan, vilket inneb\u00e4r att jag inte l\u00e4ngre kommer vara styra \u00f6ver ekonomi, HR och kommunikation. I st\u00e4llet blir jag chef f\u00f6r skolans ledningskansli. Mig kommer man \u00e4nnu inte undan! M\u00e5nga har undrat hur det nya kansliet kommer att vara sammansatt och fungera, och de senaste veckorna har bilden s\u00e5 sm\u00e5tt b\u00f6rjat klarna. D\u00e4r kommer finnas en kanslichef, vice kanslichef, controller p\u00e5 skolniv\u00e5, controller vid varje institution och sist men inte minst kansliets ledningsst\u00f6d. Det inneb\u00e4r att tio personer p\u00e5 ITM-skolan kommer att ha som uppgift att st\u00f6tta skolans samt institutionernas ledningar fram\u00f6ver.<\/p>\n<p>Dessa funktioner finns redan vid ITM idag eftersom vi redan f\u00f6r tv\u00e5 \u00e5r sedan organiserades oss p\u00e5 detta vis. S\u00e5 f\u00f6r oss blir f\u00f6r\u00e4ndringen mindre \u00e4n p\u00e5 vissa andra skolor.<\/p>\n<p>Delar av ledningskansliet, den som framf\u00f6rallt st\u00f6ttar skolans ledning, sitter i Sing-Sing. Skolans verksamhetscontrollers blir kvar fysiskt ute p\u00e5 v\u00e5ra sex institutioner.<\/p>\n<p>Exakt vilka arbetsuppgifter som kommer att falla under ledningskansliet \u00e4r \u00e4nnu inte helt fastslaget, men jag t\u00e4nker mig att kansliet kommer att st\u00f6tta skolans ledningsfunktioner med att bereda och samordna skolans verksamhetsplanering, liksom att f\u00f6lja upp verksamhetsplanerna. Vi ska bereda \u00e4renden till <a href=\"https:\/\/intra.kth.se\/itm\/kontakt\/natverk\/itm-skolans-fakultetsnamnd-1.1306763\">skolans fakultetsn\u00e4mnd<\/a>, bereda och samordna skolans ekonomistyrning, f\u00f6rdela resurser och ha budgetuppf\u00f6ljningar. Exakt vad som ing\u00e5r \u00e4r som sagt \u00e4nnu inte beslutat. Dock vet vi att skolornas kanslier ska ge ett likv\u00e4rdigt st\u00f6d till skolornas ledningar.<\/p>\n<p>ITM:s nya ledningskansli har redan haft sitt f\u00f6rsta planeringsm\u00f6te. Alla i ledningskansliet ska nu f\u00e5 en b\u00e4ttre inblick i de gemensamma utmaningar som institutionerna har, som att exempelvis f\u00e5 en ekonomi i balans.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/intra.kth.se\/itm\/kontakt\/verksamhetsstodet\/utbildningskansli-vid-itm-skolan-1.760237\">Utbildningskansliet<\/a> och <a href=\"https:\/\/intra.kth.se\/itm\/kontakt\/verksamhetsstodet\/servicecenter-1.714176\">servicecenter<\/a> kommer fortfarande att ligga kvar inom ITM:s verksamhetsst\u00f6d. Skolans utbildningshandl\u00e4ggare kommer att planera och bereda de fr\u00e5gor som ska upp till skolans fakultetsn\u00e4mnd f\u00f6r beslutsfattande. Naturligtvis kommer arbetet g\u00f6ras tillsammans med skolchef, vice ordf\u00f6rande i fakultetsn\u00e4mnden, Grundutbildningsansvarig (GA) samt Forskarutbildningsansvarig (FA).<\/p>\n<p>Det f\u00f6rsta m\u00f6tet i fakultetsn\u00e4mnden har ocks\u00e5 g\u00e5tt av stapeln. Det var en lite trevande start, f\u00e5r man nog s\u00e4ga. Det \u00e4r ett nytt s\u00e4tt att arbeta p\u00e5, ingen av oss vet riktigt vad det inneb\u00e4r och hur processer, mandat etc kommer att fungera.\u00a0 Det tar nog n\u00e5gra m\u00f6ten innan vi hittat formen f\u00f6r det hela. \u00c4renden m\u00e5ste forts\u00e4ttningsvis vara kvalitetss\u00e4krade innan det l\u00e4ggs fram f\u00f6r n\u00e4mnden p\u00e5 ett helt annat vis \u00e4n hur det fungerat tidigare. F\u00f6rhoppningsvis f\u00e5r vi en bra och \u00f6ppen diskussion d\u00e4r vi visar respekt f\u00f6r varandras kompetenser och att det blir en bra f\u00f6rankring mellan kollegiet och linjeorganisationen. Jag hoppas att jag kommer att tycka att det \u00e4r lika sp\u00e4nnande, utmanande och roligt att n\u00e4rvara vid skolans fakultetsn\u00e4mnd som jag tycker att det \u00e4r att arbeta med skolans ledning och dess prefekter.<\/p>\n<p>\/Christina Carlsson, Administrativ chef p\u00e5 ITM-skolan<\/p>\n<h2>A changing organization<\/h2>\n<p>In two months, on 1 April, I will no longer be the Head of administration at the ITM School, which means that I will no longer be in charge of finance, HR and communication. Instead, I will be the Head of the school&#8217;s management office. You won\u2019t get rid of me just yet! Many people have wondered how the new office will be composed and function, and in recent weeks the picture has begun to emerge. There will be a head of office, vice head of office, controller at school level, controller at each department and, last but not least, the office&#8217;s management support. This means that ten people at the ITM school will have the task of supporting the management of the school and the departments in the future.<\/p>\n<p>These functions already exist at ITM today, two years ago we organized ITM in this way. Thus, for us, the change will be less comprehensive than for some other schools.<\/p>\n<p>Parts of the management office, which primarily supports the school&#8217;s management, are located in Sing-Sing. The department\u2019s controllers will remain physically at our six departments.<\/p>\n<p>Exactly what tasks will fall under the management office is not yet fully determined, but I imagine that the office will support the school&#8217;s management functions in preparing and coordinating the school&#8217;s operational planning, as well as following up on the operational plans. We will prepare matters for the <a href=\"https:\/\/intra.kth.se\/en\/itm\/kontakt\/natverk\/itm-skolans-fakultetsnamnd-1.1306763\">school&#8217;s faculty board<\/a>, prepare and coordinate the school&#8217;s financial management, allocate resources and monitor the budget. Exactly what is included has not yet been decided. However, we know that the schools&#8217; new offices will provide equal support to the schools&#8217; managements.\u00a0 ITM&#8217;s new management office has already had its first planning meeting. Everyone in the management office will now have a better insight into the common challenges faced by the departments, such as balancing their finances.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/intra.kth.se\/en\/itm\/kontakt\/verksamhetsstodet\/utbildningskansli-vid-itm-skolan-1.760237\">School\u2019s Office for student affairs<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/intra.kth.se\/en\/itm\/kontakt\/verksamhetsstodet\/servicecenter-1.714176\">Service Center<\/a> will remain in the ITM organisation. The School\u2019s Office for student affairs will plan and prepare the matters that will go to the school&#8217;s faculty board for decision-making. Of course, the work will be done together with the Head of School, the vice chair-person of the faculty board, the Director of First and Second Cycle Education (GA) and the Director of Third-Cycle Education (FA).<\/p>\n<p>The first meeting of ITM&#8217;s Faculty Board has also taken place. It was a bit of a shaky start, one might say. It is a new way of working, none of us really know what it means and how processes, mandates, etc. will work.\u00a0 It will probably take a few meetings before we find our way. Cases must continue to be quality assured before they are presented to the board in a completely different way than how it was done before. Hopefully we will have a sound and open discussion where we show respect for each other&#8217;s competencies and that there will be a useful link between the faculty and the line organization.
