KTH campus \u00e4r fyllt med liv igen nu n\u00e4r KTH-studenter och personal \u00e4r tillbaka p\u00e5 campus. V\u00e5ra nya studenter har haft sina mottagningsveckor och undervisningen har b\u00f6rjat. Denna termin v\u00e4lkomnar ITM-skolorna fler nya studenter \u00e4n tidigare. F\u00f6r de 5-\u00e5riga civilingenj\u00f6rsprogrammen (CING) och de 3-\u00e5riga h\u00f6gskoleingenj\u00f6rsprogrammen (HING) tar ITM-skolan emot n\u00e4stan 1,110 nya studenter. Det \u00e4r en \u00f6kning med drygt 17 % j\u00e4mf\u00f6rt med h\u00f6stterminen 2023 (data fr\u00e5n den 26 augusti 2024). Antagningsstatistiken f\u00f6r masterprogrammen offentligg\u00f6rs inom de n\u00e4rmaste dagarna. N\u00e4r all data \u00e4r inne kan du hitta den <a href=\"https:\/\/intra.kth.se\/styrning\/utbildning\/grundavanceradniva\/nyborjare-1.192975\">p\u00e5 intran\u00e4tet h\u00e4r<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Cirka 110 studenter har b\u00f6rjat det f\u00f6rsta \u00e5ret p\u00e5 H\u00f6gskoleingenj\u00f6rsprogrammet i industriell teknik (TINTE). Det \u00e4r en stor framg\u00e5ng f\u00f6r det nya programmet som \u00e4r ett samarbete mellan olika institutioner vid ITM. Programmet ska kombinera teori med praktisk tr\u00e4ning, arbeta n\u00e4ra industrin och innefattar utbildning relaterad till digitalisering och gr\u00f6na omst\u00e4llningar.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kth.se\/om\/nyheter\/centrala-nyheter\/ny-ingenjorsutbildning-siktar-pa-industrisamverkan-och-kollektiv-intelligens-1.1301184\">Nyhetsartikel om det nya programmet fr\u00e5n i fjol<\/a><\/p>\n<p>De \u00f6kade studentantagningarna \u00e4r positiva f\u00f6r ITM-skolans ekonomi, men samtidigt inneb\u00e4r det ocks\u00e5 utmaningar n\u00e4r det g\u00e4ller personalresurser och tillg\u00e5ng till undervisningslokaler p\u00e5 campus. ITM-skolan p\u00e5verkas av campusflytten fr\u00e5n S\u00f6dert\u00e4lje till campus Valhallav\u00e4gen. En arbetsgrupp unders\u00f6ker l\u00e4rmilj\u00f6er i samband med campusflytten och deras rapport f\u00f6resl\u00e5r bland annat:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>G\u00f6r befintliga lokaler flexibla f\u00f6r att m\u00f6jligg\u00f6ra olika former av interaktion<\/li>\n<li>Se till att en student kan komma till campus n\u00e4rhelst p\u00e5 dagen och hitta en studieplats<\/li>\n<li>Balansera antalet studieplatser med undervisningslokaler<\/li>\n<li>Ge studenterna tillg\u00e5ng till experimentella l\u00e4rmilj\u00f6er (t.ex. labb eller maker spaces, b\u00e5de fysiska och digitala)<\/li>\n<li>\u00d6ka m\u00f6jligheten f\u00f6r l\u00e4rare att boka lokaler efter undervisningens form.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\/Frauke Urban, Grundutbildningsansvarig p\u00e5 ITM-skolan<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>More students at ITM and success for TINTE<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Welcome to a new academic year! The KTH campus is filled with life again as KTH students and staff are back on campus. Our new students had their welcome weeks and teaching has started. This term the ITM schools welcomes more new students than in previous years. For the 5-year MSc engineering programs and the 3-year BSc engineering programs we are welcoming nearly 1,110 new students to the ITM school this year. This is an increase of more than 17% new students compared to the autumn term 2023 (data from August 26, 2024). The admission figures for Master programs will be released in the coming days. Once all data will be available, it can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/intra.kth.se\/styrning\/utbildning\/grundavanceradniva\/nyborjare-1.192975\">on the intranet here.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>It is the first year for the BSc Program in Industrial Engineering (TINTE) and about 110 students have started. This is a great success for the new program which is a collaboration between various departments at ITM. The program has the guiding principle to combine theory with practical training. It is working closely with industry and incorporates education related to digitalization and green transitions.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kth.se\/en\/om\/nyheter\/centrala-nyheter\/ny-ingenjorsutbildning-siktar-pa-industrisamverkan-och-kollektiv-intelligens-1.1301184\">News article from 2023 about the new programme<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The increased student numbers are positive for the ITM school\u2019s economy, at the same time this also poses challenges regarding staffing capacity and availability of teaching rooms on campus. ITM school is being affected by the campus move from S\u00f6dert\u00e4lje to campus Valhallav\u00e4gen. An extra group was formed to investigate the study environment for the campus move. Their report suggests the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To make existing facilities flexible to accommodate different types of teaching activities<\/li>\n<li>To ensure that students can come to the campus at any time of the day and find a place to study<\/li>\n<li>To balance the number of study places and teaching rooms<\/li>\n<li>To give all students access to experimental learning environments, which can be labs or maker spaces (either physical or digital)<\/li>\n<li>To increase the possibility for teachers to book premises according to teaching design.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\/Frauke Urban, Director of First and Second Cycle Education at the ITM School<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In English further down.
