Nu, 2026, \u00e4r det dags att tag i andra saker som vi beh\u00f6ver utveckla, men utan att tumma p\u00e5 en god ekonomi. Dessutom m\u00e5ste vi anv\u00e4nda v\u00e5r sp\u00e5kula f\u00f6r att ta reda p\u00e5 de framtida behoven, vilket inte \u00e4r enkelt. F\u00f6r det framtida utbildningsutbudet p\u00e5g\u00e5r ett arbete som v\u00e5r GA Fredrik Asplund nyligen bloggade om.<\/p>\n<p>Med forskningen har vi valt en annan v\u00e4g. Det normala \u00e4r att forskare p\u00e5 KTH j\u00e4mf\u00f6r sig med den \u00e5rliga bibliometriska uppf\u00f6ljningen som KTHB g\u00f6r, men vi ville gr\u00e4va lite djupare. P\u00e5 f\u00f6rslag av Cali Nuur hr vi b\u00f6rjat g\u00f6ra detta p\u00e5 INDEK. Ulf Sandstr\u00f6m, som \u00e4r Professor Emeritus p\u00e5 INDEK, haft f\u00e5tt i uppdrag att <strong>beskriva ITM:s forskningsf\u00e4lt,<\/strong> dess internationella positioner och olika former av genomslag p\u00e5 ett j\u00e4mf\u00f6rbart s\u00e4tt. I dagsl\u00e4get finns en f\u00f6rsta version av hans rapport. De n\u00e4rmaste veckorna kommer skolcheferna och Cali Nuur att diskutera resultatet med prefekter och enhetschefer p\u00e5 varje institution. Syftet \u00e4r ju b\u00e5de att identifiera starka och svaga forskningsmilj\u00f6er och baserat p\u00e5 dessa fakta planera en utveckling f\u00f6r institutionens forskning f\u00f6r framtiden.<\/p>\n<p>Vi ser ocks\u00e5 en m\u00f6jlighet att utnyttja starka forskningsmilj\u00f6er p\u00e5 olika institutioner f\u00f6r att utveckla ny tv\u00e4rinstitutionella mastersprogram.<\/p>\n<p>Det \u00e4r nog m\u00e5nga av ITM:s forskare som vill se resultaten i Ulfs rapport f\u00f6r att f\u00e5 svaret p\u00e5 fr\u00e5gan \u201d Spegel, spegel p\u00e5 min v\u00e4gg, s\u00e4g mig vem som \u00e4r den b\u00e4sta forskaren i mitt f\u00e4lt\u201d. Kanske de inspirerats av br\u00f6derna Herreys hit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=LZ4JML7s0po\">Mirror, mirror (upon the wall)<\/a> ?<\/p>\n<p>\/P\u00e4r J\u00f6nsson, Skolchef ITM<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"editor-h2\">Mirror, mirror upon my wall, who is the best researcher in my field?<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"23\" data-end=\"39\">Dear colleagues,<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"41\" data-end=\"828\">During 2024 and 2025, the focus at ITM has been on achieving a balanced economy. Now, in 2026, the time has come to address many other areas that we need to develop\u2014without compromising our commitment to sound financial management. In addition, we need to use our \u201ccrystal ball\u201d to anticipate future needs\u2014which is no trivial task. Regarding future educational offerings, work is underway that our Director of First and Second Cycle Education (GA), Fredrik Asplund, recently wrote about in a blog post.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1118\" data-end=\"1767\">When it comes to research, we have chosen a different approach. Typically, researchers at KTH compare themselves using the annual bibliometric follow-up conducted by KTHB, but on the suggestion of Cali Nuur, we wanted to dig deeper and have begun doing so at INDEK. Therefore, Ulf Sandstr\u00f6m, Professor Emeritus at INDEK, was commissioned to<strong> describe ITM\u2019s research fields<\/strong>, their international positions, and various forms of impact in a comparable way. A first version of the report has now been published. In the coming weeks, the school management and Cali Nuur will meet with heads of departments and unit managers at each department. The aim is both to identify strong and weak research environments and, based on these findings, plan the future development of each department\u2019s research.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2297\" data-end=\"2447\">We also see an opportunity to leverage strong research environments across different departments to develop new interdisciplinary master\u2019s programmes.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2488\" data-end=\"2753\">Many of ITM\u2019s researchers are probably eager to see the results of Ulf\u2019s report to answer the question: \u201cMirror, mirror on the wall, who is the best researcher in my field?\u201d Perhaps they were inspired by the Herreys brothers\u2019 hit <em data-start=\"2718\" data-end=\"2752\">\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=LZ4JML7s0po\">Mirror, Mirror (Upon the Wall)<\/a>\u201d<\/em>?<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2488\" data-end=\"2753\">\/P\u00e4r J\u00f6nsson,\u00a0Head of the ITM School<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In English further down.
