V\u00e4lkommen tillbaks till jobbet!<\/strong><\/h2>\n

K\u00e4ra kollega, f\u00f6rst och fr\u00e4mst vill jag v\u00e4lkomna dig tillbaks till KTH efter semestern. P\u00e5 grund av reserestriktioner antar jag att du har tillbringat sommaren i Sverige. Kanske har du till och med uppt\u00e4ckt n\u00e5gra nya guldkorn i ditt n\u00e4romr\u00e5de? Hur som helst s\u00e5 hoppas jag att du har f\u00e5tt chansen att vila och njuta och gjort dig redo att kicka ig\u00e5ng terminen med ny kraft!<\/p>\n

KTH:s ledning har precis l\u00e4mnat nya besked om att vi ska ha som m\u00e5ls\u00e4ttning att arbeta minst tv\u00e5 dagar i veckan p\u00e5 campus om omst\u00e4ndigheterna till\u00e5ter det. V\u00e5ra enhetschefer \u00e4r \u00e4n mer viktiga i och med att de leder arbetet med att planera verksamheten. Nya grepp m\u00e5ste tas. Det kan exempelvis vara s\u00e5 att arbetstiden p\u00e5 KTH planeras s\u00e5 att personal inte \u00e5ker i rusningstrafik. Det kommer allts\u00e5 inneb\u00e4ra att det blir en kombination av distansarbete och arbete p\u00e5 campus samt att m\u00f6ten till stor del kommer att vara digitala \u00e4ven i h\u00f6st.<\/p>\n

Du som redan har b\u00f6rjat arbeta p\u00e5 KTH campus har nog inte kunnat missa v\u00e5ra nya studenter. \u201dNollorna\u201d v\u00e4lkomnas av b\u00e5de ITM-personal och faddrar och vi kan h\u00f6ra dem sjunga och spela musik precis som tidigare \u00e5r. Ibland k\u00e4nns det n\u00e4stan som vanligt, men i sj\u00e4lva verket \u00e4r situationen l\u00e5ngt ifr\u00e5n vanlig.<\/p>\n

Undervisning kommer att forts\u00e4tta ske digitalt med vissa inslag av salsundervisning i en del kurser. V\u00e5rt fokus \u00e4r att l\u00e5ta de nya studenterna p\u00e5 grund- och mastersniv\u00e5 ha vissa f\u00f6rel\u00e4sningar p\u00e5 v\u00e5ra campus. Det \u00e4r extra viktigt att de nya studenterna f\u00e5r en bra start i sin nya studiemilj\u00f6 f\u00f6r att de ska kunna g\u00e5 hela v\u00e4gen i m\u00e5l och f\u00e5 ut sin examen.<\/p>\n

Avslutningsvis t\u00e4nkte jag dela med mig av ett par semesterminnen. Jag var faktiskt st\u00f6rre delen av tiden hemma i tr\u00e4dg\u00e5rden, d\u00e4r jag odlar gr\u00f6nsaker och b\u00e4r av olika slag. De har jag njutit av i sommar! Dessutom har jag l\u00e4rt mig \u00e4ta ogr\u00e4s som jag vanligtvis kastar i komposten. En tripp till \"Fish<\/a>H\u00e4lsingland med familjen blev det ocks\u00e5, d\u00e4r vi vandrade i de vackra skogarna kring Harsa och bes\u00f6kte en av mina favoritplatser J\u00e4rvzoo. Lite fiske blev det ocks\u00e5 och jag lyckades f\u00e5 upp ett par \u00f6ringar ur den klara fj\u00e4llsj\u00f6n, som ni kan se p\u00e5 bilderna.<\/p>\n

Welcome back to work!<\/h2>\n

Dear colleagues,
\nI wish to warmly welcome all of you back to KTH after your vacations. Due to the travel restrictions, I assume that most of you have spent your vacations in Sweden? Maybe you even discovered some new lovely places in your nearby area? In any case, I hope that you now had had a chance to relax and enjoy and are ready to start this new working period with some extra energy!<\/p>\n

Today, KTH’s management gave new information that we should work at least two days a week on campus if the\u00a0circumstances allow. Our unit managers are very important in that they lead the work of planning the business. New ways must be tried. It is possible, for example, that working hours at KTH are planned so that staff do not travel in rush hour traffic. Thus, there will be a combination of working from home and on site this autumn, and meetings will mainly be digital.<\/p>\n

Some of you that has started to work on site has already seen that the new students have arrived at KTH. The, so called, zeros (nollor) are taken care of both by the ITM personnel as well as by the older students. We can hear singing and music as usual this time of the year. It is almost like one feel that things are as normal, but they are not. Teaching will continue to take place by using digital tools even though we now start to introduce class room teaching in some courses. The focus is to let the new Bachelor and Masters students to attend some classes at KTH. It is especially important to make sure that the new Bachelor students get a good start in their new study environment to ensure a successful study progress.<\/p>\n

\"P\u00e4r<\/p>\n

Finally, I wish to share something of what I have done this summer. I actually spent most of the time in my home. We grow lots of vegetables and berries so I have enjoyed eating them as well as learned how to eat some of the weeds that I normally remove and throw away. I took a short trip to \"Fish<\/a>H\u00e4lsingland with my family to walk in the beautiful forests around Harsa and to visit one of my favorite places in Sweden, namely J\u00e4rvzoo (jarvzoo.se). I also did some fishing and was able to catch some trout in a really beautiful mountain lake, as you can see from the pictures.<\/p>\n
