Nu \u00e4r h\u00f6stterminen ig\u00e5ng och vi har klarat av f\u00f6rsta periodens inledande vecka. Vad g\u00e4ller grundutbildningen sker det b\u00e5de mycket p\u00e5 grund av den p\u00e5g\u00e5ende pandemin (se kth.se\/aktuellt\/covid-19<\/a>) men det sker ocks\u00e5 mycket sp\u00e4nnande och intressant strategisk utveckling, b\u00e5de f\u00f6r skolans utbildningar och program.<\/p>\n

En helt ny utbildning<\/h3>\n

S\u00e5 jag vill inleda med att ber\u00e4tta att ITM idag har lanserat v\u00e5r helt nya f\u00f6rberedande utbildning Tekniskt bas\u00e5r p\u00e5 distans med campustr\u00e4ffar,<\/em> d\u00e4r studenterna till stora delar ska undervisas p\u00e5 distans och kurserna i programmet ges av Institutionen f\u00f6r h\u00e5llbar produktionsutveckling p\u00e5 KTH S\u00f6dert\u00e4lje. Denna utbildning har initierats och utvecklats till f\u00f6ljd av regeringens och KTH:s satsning att ut\u00f6ka m\u00e4ngden platser p\u00e5 v\u00e5ra beh\u00f6righetsgrundande utbildningar. KTH inr\u00e4ttade d\u00e4rmed tv\u00e5 nya program under v\u00e5rterminen 2020 som tillsammans tar emot fler \u00e4n 600 nya studenter fr\u00e5n och med h\u00f6stterminen. 320 av dessa platser tillh\u00f6r ITM:s nya program.<\/p>\n

Dessutom \u00e4r det grundutbildningsrelevant att det har det blivit dags att diskutera hur KTH:s nya h\u00e5llbarhetsm\u00e5l ska se ut f\u00f6r perioden som f\u00f6ljer (\u00e5r 2021 till 2025). Detta eftersom de nuvarande h\u00e5llbarhetsm\u00e5len<\/a> snart l\u00f6per ut. D\u00e4rmed bjuds anst\u00e4llda, studenter och andra intressenter in till en workshop den 3 september kl.10 – 12, fokuserad p\u00e5 arbetet med att utforma de nya h\u00e5llbarhetsm\u00e5len.<\/p>\n

Dessutom ordnar KTH Sustainability Office en workshop den 16\/9 klockan 14:30-16:30, d\u00e4r du som l\u00e4rare m\u00f6jlighet att tr\u00e4ffa externa akt\u00f6rer som vill bidra till KTH:s utbildningar genom exempelvis g\u00e4stf\u00f6rel\u00e4sningar, projektuppdrag och exjobb. Temat \u00e4r Samverkan f\u00f6r h\u00e5llbar utveckling i kurser och exjobb<\/em>. I \u00e5r kommer det vara ett extra fokus p\u00e5 klimat och digitalisering, men andra \u00e4mnen inom h\u00e5llbar utveckling kommer ocks\u00e5 diskuteras.\u00a0Anm\u00e4lan senast den 9 september:<\/p>\n

Avslutningsvis kan vi alla b\u00f6rja se fram emot KTH:s fj\u00e4rde\u00a0S<\/strong>cholarship\u00a0o<\/strong>f\u00a0T<\/strong>eaching and\u00a0L<\/strong>earning-konferens, som h\u00e5lls 10 mars \u00e5r 2021. Huvudtemat f\u00f6r konferensen \u00e4r\u00a0Learning Spaces<\/em>: de fysiska, virtuella och sociala rum f\u00f6r l\u00e4rande som du eller andra har skapat och deltagit i. Konferensen bjuder p\u00e5 g\u00e4stf\u00f6rel\u00e4sare, runda-bordsdiskussioner, workshops, postersession och presentationer p\u00e5 plats och digitalt.<\/p>\n

Teachers, make your voice heard<\/h2>\n

Now, the autumn semester has started and we have managed the first week of the first period. When it comes to First cycle education, a lot is happening due to the ongoing pandemic (see kth.se\/aktuellt\/covid-19<\/a> for updated information), but there are also very exciting and interesting strategic developments in the school’s educations and program.<\/p>\n

A new education is born<\/h3>\n

Therefore, I want to start by telling you that ITM has launched our brand new preparatory education Technical Preparatory Year at a distance with campus meetings,<\/em> where students will mainly study at a distance and the courses in the programme are given by the Department of Sustainable Production Development at KTH S\u00f6dert\u00e4lje. This education has been initiated and developed as a result of the Government’s and KTH’s efforts to increase the number of places in our preporatory educations. KTH thus established two new programmes during the spring semester 2020, which together will receive more than 600 new students from the autumn semester. 320 of these places belong to ITM’s new programme.<\/p>\n

For those of you who want to discuss everything that is happening in KTH’s operation and teaching right now, several open network meetings are also arranged during study period 1.<\/p>\n

In addition, it is time to discuss KTH’s new sustainability objectives for 2021 – 2025, which is relevant to first cycle education. The current sustainability objectives<\/a> expire in December. Thus, employees, students and other stakeholders are invited to a workshop on September 3, 10:00 – 12:00, focused on the work of designing the new sustainability goals.<\/p>\n

In addition, the KTH Sustainability Office arranges a matchmaking event on 16\/9 at 14: 30-16: 30 where you as a teacher have the opportunity to meet external actors who want to contribute to KTH’s educations through, for example, guest lectures, project assignments and dissertations. The theme is Collaboration for sustainable development in courses and dissertations<\/em>. This year there will be an extra focus on climate and digitalisation, but other topics in sustainable development will also be discussed. Registration no later than September 9.<\/p>\n

Finally, we can all start looking forward to KTH’s fourth Scholarship of Teaching and Learning conference, which will be on March 10, 2021. The main theme of the conference is Learning Spaces: the physical, virtual and social spaces for learning that you or others have created and participated in. The conference offers guest lecturers, round-table discussions, workshops, poster sessions and presentations on site and digitally.<\/p>\n
