Men hur blir det med v\u00e5rens undervisning och examinationer?\u00a0<\/em><\/h4>\n<p>Nu har vi genomf\u00f6rt en stor del av h\u00f6stterminen och examinationen i period ett \u00e4r precis avslutad, vilket haft sina utmaningar p\u00e5 grund av den p\u00e5g\u00e5ende pandemin. Sj\u00e4lv har jag f\u00f6r f\u00f6rsta g\u00e5ngen testat dels att f\u00f6rel\u00e4sa b\u00e5de i klassrum och p\u00e5 zoom p\u00e5 samma g\u00e5ng, samt att genomf\u00f6ra kontrollskrivningar med hj\u00e4lp av obevakade quizzar i canvas (ess\u00e4fr\u00e5gor). Det har varit otroligt l\u00e4rorikt, stimulerande, frustrerande och roligt. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Inf\u00f6r kommande undervisningen finns det tv\u00e5 v\u00e4ldigt aktuella fr\u00e5gor, dels hur undervisningen p\u00e5verkas av de nya riktlinjerna som FHM kom med den 29\/10 och dels hur vi tror att v\u00e5rterminens undervisning kan genomf\u00f6ras. N\u00e4r det g\u00e4ller den f\u00f6rsta fr\u00e5gan s\u00e5 specificerades p\u00e5 dagens grundutbildningsutskottsm\u00f6te att den st\u00f6rsta skillnaden i och med \u00a0de f\u00f6r\u00e4ndrade riktlinjerna \u00e4r att de studenter som inte har schemalagd undervisning p\u00e5 campus uppmanas att sitta hemma och plugga i st\u00e4llet f\u00f6r att \u00e5ka in till campus.<\/p>\n<p>Vad g\u00e4ller v\u00e5rterminens undervisning genomf\u00f6rs kurserna i alla programmens \u00e5rskurser digitalt kombinerat med schemalagda tr\u00e4ffar p\u00e5 campus. I s\u00e5 stor utstr\u00e4ckning som m\u00f6jligt ska f\u00f6ljaktligen alla studenter f\u00e5 m\u00f6jlighet att fysiskt m\u00f6ta l\u00e4rare och andra studenter i kurserna. Den del av undervisningen som \u00e4r campusf\u00f6rlagd ska fr\u00e4mst best\u00e5 av praktiska moment s\u00e5som laborationer, handledd undervisning eller undervisning med tydligt behov av interaktion mellan student och l\u00e4rare eller mellan studenter.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kth.se\/aktuellt\/covid-19\">Aktuell information p\u00e5 KTH:s hemsida om covid-19.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Det sker ocks\u00e5 mycket sp\u00e4nnande och intressant strategisk utbildningsutveckling p\u00e5 KTH och f\u00f6r alla oss anst\u00e4llda finns det ju m\u00e5nga m\u00f6jligheter att delta i n\u00e4tverkande kring olika fr\u00e5gor som ber\u00f6r utbildning p\u00e5 grund-, avancerad- och forskarniv\u00e5. Under l\u00e4sperioderna sedan covid-19-pandemin n\u00e5dde Sverige har KTH:s n\u00e4tverks- och stortr\u00e4ffar genomf\u00f6rts via zoom, vilket m\u00f6jliggjort \u00f6kat deltagande, och till stora delar fokuserats p\u00e5 erfarenhetsutbyten om digitalisering av utbildningen. N\u00e5gon g\u00e5ng per termin bjuder vicerektor f\u00f6r utbildning in utbildningsledare, \u00f6vrig personal och studeranderepresentanter till stortr\u00e4ffar som tar upp aktuella och prioriterade fr\u00e5gor f\u00f6r KTH:s utbildningar. Uppl\u00e4gget \u00e4r fr\u00e4mst i rundabordsformat d\u00e4r man kan v\u00e4lja p\u00e5 flera olika teman att n\u00e4tverka och diskutera kring. Datum f\u00f6r h\u00f6stens stortr\u00e4ff \u00e4r prelimin\u00e4rt satt till eftermiddagen den 3 december 2020. Delta g\u00e4rna i den! V\u00e5rens digitala stortr\u00e4ff blev en succ\u00e9 vad g\u00e4ller antalet deltagare och <strong>t<\/strong>otalt genomf\u00f6rdes 39 diskussionsrundor med olika \u00e4mnen som r\u00f6r utbildning och utbildningsutveckling.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/intra.kth.se\/utbildning\/utveckling-och-hogskolepedagogik\/nyheter\/virtuell-stortraff-storsucce-1.984883\">Virtuell stortr\u00e4ff storsucc\u00e9<\/a><\/p>\n<p>En annan rolig m\u00f6jlighet att n\u00e4tverka \u00e4r genom att komma till PriU-gruppernas m\u00f6ten. PriU \u00e4r kollegiala grupper \u00f6ppna f\u00f6r alla anst\u00e4llda med fokuserad diskussion kring olika teman. I f\u00f6rra veckan deltog jag i det f\u00f6rsta uppstartsm\u00f6tet f\u00f6r en ny PriU-grupp som ska fokusera p\u00e5 vilka olika examinationsformer vi ser i och med den utbildningsutveckling som digitalisering medf\u00f6r.<\/p>\n<p>I och med det vill jag ocks\u00e5 p\u00e5minna om att perioden f\u00f6r inl\u00e4mning av bidrag till KTH:s fj\u00e4rde\u00a0Scholarship\u00a0of\u00a0Teaching and\u00a0Learning-konferens snart st\u00e4nger. Konferensen \u00e4ger rum den 10 mars, 2021 och perioden f\u00f6r submission \u00e4r mellan 21 september och 20 november, 2020. (Obs! Fullst\u00e4ndigt paper kr\u00e4vs inte f\u00f6r denna konferens). Huvudtemat f\u00f6r konferensen \u00e4r\u00a0<em>Learning Spaces<\/em>: de fysiska, virtuella och sociala rum f\u00f6r l\u00e4rande som du eller andra har skapat och deltagit i. What about the spring semester and its teaching and examinations? <\/em><\/p>\n<p>We have now completed a large part of the autumn semester and the examination in period one is just over, which had its challenges due to the ongoing pandemic. Personally, I have for the first time tried to lecture both in the room and on zoom at the same time, as well as to carry out partial exam (KS) with the help of unattended quizzes in canvas (essay questions). It has been incredibly educational, stimulating, frustrating and fun. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Looking ahead, there are two very current issues. One is about how the new guidelines from The Public Health Agency (FHM) on October 29 affect our teaching, and the second is about how we believe that teaching can be conducted this spring. With regard to the first question, the largest difference is that students who do not have scheduled teaching on campus are encouraged to study at home instead of going to campus. This was specified at the meeting in the Education Committee for first and second cycle, earlier this week.<\/p>\n<p>As for the teaching in spring, the courses in all study year&#8217;s will be carried out digitally combined with scheduled gatherings on campus. Consequently, all students should, as far as possible, have the opportunity to physically meet teachers and other students in the courses. Teaching located on campus shall mainly consist of practical elements such as lab sessions, supervised teaching or teaching with an obvious need for interaction between student and teacher or between students.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kth.se\/en\/aktuellt\/covid-19\/our-covid-19-response-1.996938\">Up-to date information on the KTH website about covid-19<\/a><\/p>\n<p>There is also very exciting and interesting strategic educational development at KTH. For all of us there are many opportunities to participate in networking on various issues that affect education at undergraduate, advanced and postgraduate level. During the study periods since the pandemic reached Sweden, KTH networks and \u201cStortr\u00e4ffar\u201d were conducted via zoom, which enabled increased participation, and were largely focused on exchanges of experience on digitization of education. If you are interested in a description of the different arenas, you can read more here:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/intra.kth.se\/en\/utbildning\/utveckling-och-hogskolepedagogik\/arenor\/arenor-for-pedagogisk-utveckling-och-natverkande-1.826397\">Arenas for Educational Development and Networking<\/a><\/p>\n<p>I would like to market one opportunity specifically: The upcoming \u201cStortr\u00e4ff\u201d. Once per semester, the Vice President for Education invites education leaders, other employees and student representatives to large meetings that address current and prioritized issues for KTH&#8217;s educations. The set-up is mainly in round table format where you can choose from several different themes to network and discuss. The date for this autumn&#8217;s \u201cStortr\u00e4ff\u201d is tentatively set for the afternoon of December 3, 2020. Feel free to participate in it! This spring&#8217;s digital \u201cStortr\u00e4ff\u201d was a success in terms of the number of participants and a total of 39 discussion rounds were conducted with various topics related to education and training development.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/intra.kth.se\/en\/utbildning\/utveckling-och-hogskolepedagogik\/nyheter\/virtuell-stortraff-storsucce-1.984883\">Stortr\u00e4ff = Stor\/Big success<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Another fun opportunity to network is by joining the PriU groups&#8217; meetings. PriU are collegial groups open to all employees with a focused discussion on various themes. Last week, I participated in the first start-up meeting for a new PriU group that will focus on the different forms of examination that we see as a result of the educational development that digitalization entails.<\/p>\n<p>With that, I would also like to remind you that the period for submitting to KTH&#8217;s fourth Scholarship of Teaching and Learning conference will soon close. The conference will take place on March 10, 2021, and the submission period is between September 21 and November 20, 2020. (Note: Full paper is not required for this conference). The main theme of the conference is Learning Spaces: the physical, virtual and social spaces for learning that you or others have created and participated in. The conference offers guest speakers, roundtable discussions, workshops, poster sessions and presentations.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/intra.kth.se\/en\/utbildning\/utveckling-och-hogskolepedagogik\/kth-sotl\/conference-kth\/kth-sotl-2021-1.970425\">KTH SoTL 2021 \u2013 Learning Spaces<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Finally, I hope you read the President\u2019s and Vice Presidents\u2019 blogs, as these give a good overview of what is happening at KTH.
