Sj\u00e4lv \u00e4r jag ansvarig f\u00f6r en projektledningskurs med ca 180 studenter d\u00e4r all undervisning och examination sker p\u00e5 distans, och allt arbete med den \u00e4r b\u00e5de sp\u00e4nnande, utmanande, tidskr\u00e4vande och l\u00e4rorikt :). Just med tanke p\u00e5 hur och om man vill anv\u00e4nda flera olika examinationsformer s\u00e5 fick jag n\u00f6jet att p\u00e5b\u00f6rja veckan med intressanta diskussioner i PriU-gruppen som fokuserar p\u00e5 just alternativ examination. F\u00f6r er som inte varit i kontakt med n\u00e5gon av KTH:s PriU-grupper s\u00e5 \u00e4r dessa kollegiala grupper \u00f6ppna f\u00f6r alla anst\u00e4llda med fokuserade diskussioner kring olika teman. \u00c4r n\u00e5gon av er specifikt intresserade av PriU-grupp <em>Alternativa examinationsformer<\/em> s\u00e5 ta kontakt med <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kth.se\/profile\/akhog\">Anna-Karin H\u00f6gfeldt<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Vad g\u00e4ller denna v\u00e5rtermins undervisning s\u00e5 genomf\u00f6rs v\u00e5ra kurser till st\u00f6rsta del digitalt i kombination med schemalagda tr\u00e4ffar p\u00e5 campus (f\u00f6r de praktiska momenten, exempelvis labbar), och aktuell information kring alla f\u00f6r\u00e4ndringar som sker l\u00f6pande f\u00e5r man via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kth.se\/aktuellt\/covid-19\">KTH:s covid-sida<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Extra examinationstillf\u00e4llen i v\u00e5r<\/h3>\n<p>En av de mest aktuella grundutbildningsfr\u00e5gorna just nu \u00e4r den specifikation som finns i rektors senaste beslut, att kurser under period 1 och 2 som haft campusbaserad skriftlig salsexamination ska erbjuda ett extra examinationstillf\u00e4lle nu under v\u00e5rterminen. Det extra examinationstillf\u00e4llet \u00e4r till f\u00f6r de studenter som inte kunde n\u00e4rvara vid ordinarie salsexamination p\u00e5 campus p\u00e5 grund av sjukdom eller risk f\u00f6r sjukdom. Det extra examinationstillf\u00e4llet ska ges med annan examinationsform \u00e4n campusbaserad skriftlig salsexamination. Det finns n\u00e5gra konkretiseringar kring detta extra examinationstillf\u00e4lle och dessa \u00e4r:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Det extra tillf\u00e4llet f\u00f6r P1-kurser ska fr\u00e4mst\u00a0ges i februari, dock senast 5\/3 2021.<\/li>\n<li>Det\u00a0extra tillf\u00e4llet f\u00f6r P2-kurser ska ges under perioden 3-21\/5 2021.<\/li>\n<li>Det extra examinationstillf\u00e4llet kommer utannonseras\u00a0p\u00e5 kursens\u00a0Canvassida\u00a0senast tv\u00e5 veckor i f\u00f6rv\u00e4g.<\/li>\n<li>Obligatorisk anm\u00e4lan g\u00e4ller till det extra tillf\u00e4llet, sen anm\u00e4lan kommer inte att hanteras.<\/li>\n<li>Plussning \u00e4r inte till\u00e5tet vid det extra examinationstillf\u00e4llet.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Studenterna har ocks\u00e5 f\u00e5tt information om detta examinationstillf\u00e4lle, fr\u00e4mst via denna l\u00e4nk:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kth.se\/student\/kurs\/tentamen\">Mer information om vad som g\u00e4ller f\u00f6r det extra examinationstillf\u00e4llet.<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>St\u00f6d f\u00f6r den digitala l\u00e4raren p\u00e5 flera s\u00e4tt<\/h3>\n<p>En f\u00f6r\u00e4ndring som KTH beslutat, och som ITM p\u00e5b\u00f6rjat arbetet med, \u00e4r att utforma hur man ska kunna ge mer hands-on st\u00f6d f\u00f6r skolans l\u00e4rare i och kring administration och genomf\u00f6rande av skolans kurser. Detta inneb\u00e4r dels att jag som Grundutbildningsansvarig (GA) just nu anst\u00e4ller och organiserar en grupp av amanuenser (anst\u00e4llda studenter) som kommer kunna hj\u00e4lpa de ITM-l\u00e4rare, som vill ha ut\u00f6kat st\u00f6d i sin anv\u00e4ndning av digitala verktyg och system f\u00f6r att genomf\u00f6ra digital utbildning. Samtidigt arbetar ITM:s tentasamordnare och adminitrativa chef med att utveckla s\u00e5 att vissa delar av skolans administration p\u00e5 ett annat s\u00e4tt \u00e4n f\u00f6rut kan st\u00f6dja genomf\u00f6randet av v\u00e5r digitaliserade utbildning. Detta g\u00f6rs tillsammans med KTH:s \u00f6vriga skolor och representanter fr\u00e5n Arbetsgruppen f\u00f6r utbildningens digitalisering och \u00e4r n\u00e5got vi alla kommer f\u00e5 veta mer om fram\u00f6ver.<\/p>\n<h3>Fler studieplatser f\u00f6r studenter<\/h3>\n<p>Jag fick i f\u00f6rra veckan ta del av KTHs senaste informationsbrev till v\u00e5ra internationella studenter och d\u00e4r fick de info om att KTH g\u00e4rna vill att studenter som vistas p\u00e5 campus ska kunna g\u00f6ra det p\u00e5 ett smitts\u00e4kert s\u00e4tt. S\u00e5 f\u00f6r att underl\u00e4tta f\u00f6r v\u00e5ra studenter att hitta plats att studera kommer sektionslokalerna finnas tillg\u00e4ngliga som studieyta med \u00f6ppettiden 8-22 alla dagar fr\u00e5n och med denna vecka, vilket \u00e4r bra f\u00f6r oss l\u00e4rare att veta ocks\u00e5 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Avslutningsvis delar jag en l\u00e4nk med artikel kring en aktuell och relevant utmaning som all universitetsutbildning k\u00e4mpar med just nu (Urbana-Champaign \u00e4r dessutom ett av KTH:s partneruniversitet)<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-page-title cc_cursor\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theverge.com\/2021\/1\/28\/22254631\/university-of-illinois-urbana-champaign-proctorio-online-test-proctoring-privacy\">University will stop using controversial remote-testing software following student outcry (theverge.com)<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\/ Anna Jerbrant, Vice skolchef och grundutbildningsansvarig<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Students get a second examination chance<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h3>The PriU groups invite to discussions<\/h3>\n<p>I hope that all of you got a good start of the semester and your courses in period 3. For my own part, I am responsible for a project management course with about 180 students, where all teaching and examination takes place at a distance. All work with it is both exciting, challenging, time consuming and developing J When it comes to how and if you want to use several different forms of examination, I had the pleasure to start the week with interesting discussions in the PriU group that focuses on alternative examination. For those of you who have not been in contact with any of KTH&#8217;s PriU groups, these collegial groups are open to all employees with focused discussions on various topics. If any of you are interested in the PriU group Alternative examination forms, please contact <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kth.se\/profile\/akhog\">Anna-Karin H\u00f6gfeldt<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>As for the teaching in this spring term, our courses are mostly conducted digitally in combination with scheduled meetups on campus (for practical elements, such as labs), and current information about all changes that occur on an ongoing basis can be found via the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kth.se\/en\/aktuellt\/covid-19\">KTH covid pages<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>Extra examination opportunities this spring<\/h3>\n<p>Now, one of the most current issues in first and second cycle education is the specification found in the KTH president&#8217;s latest decision; that courses during period 1 and 2 that have had campus-based written campus examination shall offer an extra examination opportunity during spring. The extra examination opportunity is for those students who could not attend the regular examination on campus due to illness or risk of being infected. The extra examination opportunity must be given with a different examination form than campus-based written examination. There are some concretizations about this extra examination opportunity and these are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The extra opportunity for P1 courses will mainly be given in February, but no later than March 5, 2021.<\/li>\n<li>The extra opportunity for P2 courses will be given during the period May 3-21, 2021.<\/li>\n<li>The extra examination opportunity will be announced on the course&#8217;s Canvas page no later than two weeks in advance.<\/li>\n<li>Mandatory notification applies to the extra occasion, since notification will not be handled.<\/li>\n<li>\u201cPlussning\u201d (intend to improve the grade of a course) is not allowed at the extra examination.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The students have also received this information about this examination opportunity, mainly via this link:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kth.se\/en\/student\/kurs\/tentamen\/examination-1.324344\">More information about what applies for the extra examination<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Support for the digital teacher in several ways<\/h3>\n<p>One change that KTH has decided on, and which ITM has begun working on, is to provide more hands-on support for the school&#8217;s teachers in and around the administration and implementation of the school&#8217;s courses. This means that I, as the Director of First and Second Cycle Education (GA), am currently hiring and organizing a group of amanuensis (employed students), who will be able to help the ITM teachers, who want increased support in their use of digital tools and systems to implement digital education. At the same time, ITM&#8217;s exam coordinator and Head of administration are working to develop so that certain parts of the school&#8217;s administration can support the implementation of our digitized education in a different way than before. This is done together with KTH&#8217;s other schools and representatives from the Working Group for the Digitization of Education and is something we will learn more about in the future.<\/p>\n<h3>More study spaces for students<\/h3>\n<p>Last week, I received KTH&#8217;s latest information letter to our international students, where they got informed that KTH would like students who stay on campus to be able to do so in a safe way.
