D\u00e4rf\u00f6r kommer jag att anv\u00e4nda den h\u00e4r bloggen f\u00f6r att prata om det \u00f6kade st\u00f6det f\u00f6r onlineundervisning som vi inf\u00f6rt f\u00f6r ITM-skolans l\u00e4rare under v\u00e5rterminen.<\/p>\n<h3>ITM E-learning-grupp<\/h3>\n<p>Mellan den 1 februari och den 30 juni har ITM-skolan anst\u00e4llt 7 amanuenser, dvs studenter som ska st\u00f6tta i digitaliseringen av v\u00e5ra kurser. Detta \u201dE-learning-grupp\u201d kan hj\u00e4lpa till med:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 1.125rem;\">St\u00f6d, hj\u00e4lp och v\u00e4gledning vid anv\u00e4ndning av KTH:s digitala undervisningsverktyg, som t.ex. Canvas,\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Introduktion och utbildning i verktyg som \u00f6kar engagemang och interaktivitet under onlineundervisning, till exempel f\u00f6rel\u00e4sningar i zoom,<\/li>\n<li>Bidra till produktionen av utbildningsmaterial f\u00f6r flippad utbildning,<\/li>\n<li>Kartl\u00e4gga \u00f6ppna fr\u00e5gor som kr\u00e4ver lite efterforskning, till exempel hur man kan f\u00f6rb\u00e4ttra kommunikationen med studenterna,<\/li>\n<li>St\u00f6d med att skapa digitala unders\u00f6kningar.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>D\u00e4remot kan de inte hj\u00e4lpa till med kurser som inte ing\u00e5r i grundutbildningen (eftersom de finansieras med GRU-pengar), tillg\u00e4nglighetsfr\u00e5gor eller l\u00e4ra studenter hur man anv\u00e4nder olika digitala verktyg.<\/p>\n<p>Om du har id\u00e9er kring vad ITM E-learning-grupp kan hj\u00e4lpa dig med, eller bara vill boka ett 1-till-1-m\u00f6te, kontakta dem direkt via <a href=\"mailto:itm-elearning@kth.se\">itm-elearning@kth.se.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Skriv till dem p\u00e5 engelska eftersom amanuensgruppen best\u00e5r av b\u00e5de inhemska och internationella studenter.<\/p>\n<p>Under vecka 11 och 13 har E-learning-gruppen genomf\u00f6rt fyra seminarier med fokus p\u00e5 interaktiv onlineundervisning och sidstrukturering i Canvas. F\u00f6r att kunna dela sina presentationer, andra dokument och kommande instruktionsvideor som de h\u00e5ller p\u00e5 att skapa, har jag initierat en Canvas-sida som heter ITM E-learning. S\u00e5 om du \u00e4r intresserad av att ta del av material och delta i kollegiala diskussioner, v\u00e4nligen meddela mig genom <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kth.se\/form\/606457272143b05458eeab69\">detta formul\u00e4r.<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Rektorsbes\u00f6k p\u00e5 ITM-skolan<\/h3>\n<p>Slutligen vill jag ber\u00e4tta om n\u00e5gra av de saker som presenterades och diskuterades under rektor Sigbritts bes\u00f6k p\u00e5 ITM-skolan f\u00f6re p\u00e5sk (31 mars). Under detta onlinem\u00f6te beskrev alla prefekterna varje avdelnings samarbete och partnerskap samt forskning, utbildning och kommande utmaningar. Saker som n\u00e4mndes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Institutionen f\u00f6r energiteknik (EGI) har aktiva forskningsprojekt med alla KTH:s skolor.<\/li>\n<li>Institutionen f\u00f6r h\u00e5llbar produktionsutveckling (HPU) har ett starkt samarbete och synergifokus internt och externt (med till exempel Scania, AZ och SSCP).<\/li>\n<li>Institutionen f\u00f6r industriell ekonomi (Indek) har \u00f6kat antalet publikationer (i WoS) och antalet citeringar.<\/li>\n<li>Institutionen f\u00f6r industriell produktion (IIP) har \u00f6kat antalet kurser f\u00f6r KTH:s strategiska partners (DMMS, XPRES) och har fyra EU-framg\u00e5ngshistorier inom Horizon2020.<\/li>\n<li>Institutionen f\u00f6r l\u00e4rande (LES) har f\u00f6rdubblat m\u00e4ngden extern finansiering sedan 2016.<\/li>\n<li>Institutionen f\u00f6r maskinkonstruktion (MMK) har flest sampublikationer tillsammans med industrin.<\/li>\n<li>Institutionen f\u00f6r materialvetenskap (MSE) har ett omfattande nationellt och internationellt samarbete med universitet, forskningsinstitut och industrif\u00f6retag.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Rektor betonade att det \u00e4r viktigt att KTH har adekvata experimentella inslag i v\u00e5ra ingenj\u00f6rsutbildningar eftersom det \u00e4r det som g\u00f6r oss unika ur ett internationellt perspektiv.<\/p>\n<p>Under m\u00f6tet fick vi ocks\u00e5 universitetsdirekt\u00f6ren Kerstins uppskattning f\u00f6r att ITM:s verksamhetsst\u00f6d \u00e4r s\u00e5 st\u00f6ttande till <em>ett KTH<\/em>, liksom hur ITM hanterat covid-19. Med specifika h\u00e4nvisningar till s\u00e5v\u00e4l grundutbildning som forskarutbildning diskuterade vi hur l\u00e4rarna p\u00e5 ITM-skolan har utvecklat och genomf\u00f6rt en helt ny utbildning (Tekniskt bas\u00e5r p\u00e5 distans), utvecklat smitts\u00e4kert laboratoriearbete p\u00e5 campus, \u00f6kat antalet kurser fokuserade p\u00e5 livsl\u00e5ngt l\u00e4rande och \u00f6kat m\u00e5ngfalden av s\u00e4tt att examinera ITM:s kurser p\u00e5. Sammantaget mycket intressanta och engagerande diskussioner.<\/p>\n<p>\/ Anna Jerbrant, Vice skolchef och grundutbildningsansvarig<\/p>\n<h2><strong>New support for teachers and a president visit <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Now it is one year since the covid-19 pandemic forced us to switch to online education and so far we don\u2019t know exactly when we will be allowed to increase the amount of campus teaching again. So, because of this, I will use this blog to enhance the increased online teaching support that we have created for ITM teachers during this spring semester.<\/p>\n<h3>ITM E-learning group<\/h3>\n<p>Between February 1<sup>st<\/sup> and June 30<sup>th<\/sup> ITM has hired 7 amanuenses students in order to help us all in the digitization of our courses, and this ITM E-learning group can help you with:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support, assistance, and guides in the use of digital teaching tools chosen by KTH, such as for instance Canvas,<\/li>\n<li>Introduction and training on tools to increase engagement and collaboration during online teaching (for instance lectures in zoom),<\/li>\n<li>Contribution to the production of educational materials for flipped education,<\/li>\n<li>Investigating open questions that require some research (example: how to improve communication with students),<\/li>\n<li>Support with creating digital examination.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>But they cannot help with courses that are not part of first and second-cycle education (since they are funded with GRU money), accessibility issues, or teaching students how to use different digital tools.<\/p>\n<p>If you have an idea on how and with what the ITM E-learning group can help you with, or just wants to book a 1-to-1 meeting, contact them directly through <a href=\"mailto:itm-elearning@kth.se\">itm-elearning@kth.se<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>But, since the amanuenses group is made up of both domestic and international students, please write to them in English.<\/p>\n<p>During weeks 11 and 13, the ITM E-learning group has conducted four seminars focused on interactive online teaching and Canvas course page structuring. To be able to share their presentation slides, other documents, and coming instructional videos (that the group is about to create), I have initiated a Canvas page called ITM E-learning. So, if you are interested to take part in written material and participate in collegiate discussions please let me know through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kth.se\/form\/606457272143b05458eeab69\">this form<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>KTH President&#8217;s visit<\/h3>\n<p>Finally, I would like to share some of the things that were presented and discussed during KTH President Sigbritt\u2019s visit to the ITM School just before Easter (March 31). During this online meeting, all of the department heads described each department&#8217;s collaborations and partnerships as well as research, education, and upcoming challenges.<\/p>\n<p>Issues that were raised:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Department of Energy Technology (EGI) has active research projects with all KTH schools.<\/li>\n<li>The Department of Sustainable Production Development (HPU) has a strong collaboration and synergy focus internally and externally (with for instance Scania, AZ and SSCP).<\/li>\n<li>The Department of Industrial Economics and Management (Indek) has increased the number of publications (in WoS) and number of citations.<\/li>\n<li>The Department of Production Engineering (IIP) has an increased number of courses for KTH&#8217;s strategic partners (DMMS, XPRES) and has four EU Horizon2020 success stories.<\/li>\n<li>The Department of Learning (LES) has doubled the amount of external funding since 2016.<\/li>\n<li>The Department of Machine Design (MMK) has the highest number of co-publications together with industry.<\/li>\n<li>The Department of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) has extensive national and international collaboration with universities, research institutes, and industrial companies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The president emphasized that it is important for KTH to have adequate experimental elements in our engineering educations because that is what makes us unique from an international perspective.<\/p>\n<p>During the meeting, we also got the University Director\u2019s appreciation that ITM&#8217;s Professional Support is so supportive in developing <em>one KTH <\/em>as well as both positive and negative consequences of the covid-19 pandemic on the first, second, and third cycle of education. With specific regards to the first and second cycle, we discussed how the teachers at the ITM School have developed and executed an entirely new education (Technical Preparatory Year on a distance) developed infectious secure ways to execute laboratory work on campus, increased the number of courses focused on lifelong learning and increased the diversity of ways to examine in ITM&#8217;s courses.
