KTH kan utbilda dem. Regeringen har i sin <a href=\"https:\/\/www.regeringen.se\/informationsmaterial\/2025\/02\/en-stem-strategi-for-sverige\/\">STEM-strategi <\/a>angett att antalet studenter inom naturvetenskap och teknik ska \u00f6ka fr\u00e5n dagens 83 000 till 90 000.Det tycks som en enkel matematik att f\u00e5 ihop detta eftersom b\u00e5de arbetsmarknadens behov, regeringens m\u00e5l och KTH:s f\u00f6rm\u00e5ga pekar i samma riktning. Men s\u00e5 enkelt \u00e4r det inte.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Varje \u00e5r fastst\u00e4ller regeringen<\/strong> ett takbelopp f\u00f6r varje l\u00e4ros\u00e4te. Takbeloppet som uttrycks i kronor \u00e4r det maximala belopp som l\u00e4ros\u00e4tet kan f\u00e5 som ers\u00e4ttning f\u00f6r genomf\u00f6rd utbildning under ett visst \u00e5r. Varje student representerar en viss avr\u00e4kning mot takbeloppet enligt en s\u00e4rskild lista \u00f6ver ers\u00e4ttningsbelopp per student som regeringen beslutar om varje \u00e5r. En ingenj\u00f6rsstudent som studerar heltid under ett \u00e5r och klarar alla kurser ger universitetet en int\u00e4kt om 120 000.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Takbeloppet \u00e4r med andra ord<\/strong> ett m\u00e5tt p\u00e5 hur stort utbildningsuppdrag som varje l\u00e4ros\u00e4te ges. Trots den till synes tydliga \u00f6verensst\u00e4mmelsen mellan vad arbetsmarknaden beh\u00f6ver, vad regeringen vill och vad KTH kan s\u00e5 har v\u00e5rt takbelopp minskats under senare \u00e5r vilket i sin tur inneb\u00e4r att vi minskar antalet nyb\u00f6rjare f\u00f6r varje \u00e5r.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Om detta skrev jag och rektor f\u00f6r Chalmers<\/strong> en <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dn.se\/debatt\/vi-kan-utbilda-fler-ingenjorer-men-regeringen-satter-stopp\/\">debattartikel i DN<\/a> \u00a0i b\u00f6rjan av \u00e5ret. Den har ocks\u00e5 f\u00f6ljts upp av kommentarer i en rad olika tidningar. V\u00e5rt budskap \u00e4r gemensamt och vi ser fram emot en fortsatt dialog kring dessa fr\u00e5gor med v\u00e5r uppdragsgivare f\u00f6r att f\u00f6rb\u00e4ttra den l\u00e5ngsiktiga kompetensf\u00f6rs\u00f6rjningen f\u00f6r behov inom industri och f\u00f6rvaltning.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vi arbetar ocks\u00e5 vidare med att utveckla v\u00e5rt utbildningsutbud<\/strong>, att sk\u00e4rpa och f\u00f6rb\u00e4ttra v\u00e5r pedagogik och p\u00e5 v\u00e5r agenda finns ocks\u00e5 aktiva \u00e5tg\u00e4rder f\u00f6r att st\u00e4rka kvaliteten i v\u00e5r utbildningsmilj\u00f6 och f\u00f6rb\u00e4ttra tillg\u00e5ngen till experimentella milj\u00f6er f\u00f6r studenterna.
