The spring is here in Sweden and everything is just so beautiful around. The cold and the snow are finally gone and its often raining these days. The Swedes seem to hate the rain. Ah! who would like it when it gets colder, cloudy and rainy, well, I do! I love rain, I always have loved rain. Anway, the spring is sure precious. There are flowers blooming all around and the ground is getting greener and greener with every passing day. I have sowed some flowering seeds at home, can’t wait for them to start blooming. So, I have been spending some time with myself while socking in the beauty of Stockholm in springtime. Here are few pictures.
This is my favorite spot in “Albano”, there is a running track here but I often go sit there for an hour or two starring at the blue canopy, listening to the lullabies of the birds as I drift to a state of stance enjoying the scenery around me. These places are best enjoyed alone, or maybe your date, but make sure to stay calm and to breathe in the peace.
The best part of this time of the year is perhaps the cherry blossoms. Oh my god! they are so beautiful. Last weekend, I went to the Japanese International Festival. The music and the flowers with so many people around was simply an amazing vibe. This is truly a piece of heaven on earth, such a lovely place!
Isn’t it just amazing to see elderly people dancing and having fun? I loved this! Sweden is definitely a must-visit place during every season!
Just a couple of minutes ago, it was so bright sunny, I was soaking in all the shine and warmth but within few seconds, the sky turned dark and the snow was falling down like as if a snow dam broke open!
The weather in Stockholm is always a great topic to start a conversation with. If you wanna break the ice with someone, just talk about the weather. Everyone talks about the weather all the time here. That seems to be a favourite Fika topic to most of my friends. It’s so amazing how it can go from clear and sunny to blindingly snowy in a matter of seconds! So weird! So Interesting! So Stockholmy!
It’s not just the case during winters that the weather is simply unpredictable, even during the summer it would go from the clear sunny sky to dark rainy clouds in absolutely no time. One must always be prepared to be amazed by Stockholm weather all around the year!
And now, as I type, the snow is fading away and the sun is peeping out. LOL. I am all in for a hide and seek game, Mr. Sun! 🔆🌇🌥🌨🌥🌨❄☃ Have fun! Enjoy the Snow and the Sun!
We are into December, the holiday mood has already kicked in. The snow is here, decorated Christmas trees and fairy lights around the city make the atmosphere so cozy. It is such a beautiful experience to walk around the city to experience the Christmas spirit.
An Instagram boomerang is perhaps something that shouldn’t be missed 😉
Every house in the neighborhood is lit with beautifully decorated trees. So cozy to look at!
Last week was both so deadly, so successful and extremely fascinating. The most terrible deadlines were met and I have certainly emerged as a better person. Too many reflections, realizations, and not to forget the learning I have got out of the past week. Immense! I think its only during such times, we learn about ourselves. And, now having dealt with crazy things, I feel super liberated. 🙂
Well, it has already started to snow in Stockholm. It was my first snow experience and trust me, it was magical! I truly felt like living in the world of Narnia! The white snow can instantly lift up the spirits and the cheerfulness has no bounds. Everyone becomes a kid when it snows. White snow in the dark winters with a cup of hot chocolate and a warm cinnamon bun is what is called ecstasy!
Here is my first snow experience!
Few of my snowman versions 😝 ☃️
Snowfall and KTH ♥️

But, there is more to this Holiday season than the white snow and the fairy lights…yup! Shopping! There is a sale in almost every shop. Brands like H&M have offers that force you to shop. It’s inevitable! Haha! There are Christmas bazaars cropping up here and there. No matter if you’re looking around to buy a Christmas present or to renovate your wardrobe, the season has a sale in every shop. I started my holiday shopping with a mission to make my room cozy and ended up spending a little over the budget. 😀
Shopping spirit at city central
Sale! Sale! Sale!

Finally, that’s how cozy I made my room. a little Christmas tree, a beautiful star and some warm lights for the cozy winter 🙂
Wish you a cozy winter! God Jul ! ☃️ ❄️ 🎄

A magical fairy prince lives up in the heavens and he fell in love with the kindest and the sweetest girl on earth. Watching her from the sky was not enough and one day he decides to fly down to meet her. Every time the prince flew in the sky, his green fairy dust would light up the sky. Gleaming and magical!
Little did the girl know that the sky was lit for her. She watched the lights in awe, “what is this magic in the sky?!”, she thought to herself. Now the fairy prince spots this girl with wonder eyes and his fairy dust turns red, lighting up the dark yonder. With sparkling green and red fairy dust, the prince danced all over the sky. So beautiful, so romantic and so enchanting….
Hey Folks, I’m talking about the northern lights here! A story I completely made up! The lights are so magical that I had a million fantasy stories in my mind while seeing the charm. Perhaps, “At the end of the northern lights, there is a chest full of treasures :D”, Ah! that’s the rainbow, right? Anyway, I’m stunned!
Last week there was an amazing show of Northern Lights in the sky. It was around 11.30ish when my friends called me up and asked me to go to the Lappis beach. I had my Lab the next day and I was super lazy to go. But, when I opened my room door to see if there was anyone else going. I saw the doors of my entire corridor banging open! So much so that one guy already caught the lights in his mobile camera from his room! yes, his room! Am not even kidding! And, I knew that I cannot be missing this night. So I put my jacket on and headed straight to the beach.
Oh, My! Oh, My! What a show that was. The green lights took over the sky. There is nothing more magical than this! Right when I was wishing for a red version, the sky turned green and red, a magical celestial dance!
A dance you would wanna watch all your life!
A thousand births wouldn’t suffice!
A dance that will make you question everything
about the universe and our existence!
A dance that’s pure magic and brilliance!
A dance that will blow your mind and soul!
A dance that will make you respect the nature even more!
A dance that will make you realize how blessed you’re
to be standing there and watching it,
how blessed you’re to have this beautiful world,
and will give you the realization that
It’s your duty to preserve the nature that we have.
It’s everything and the only thing you wanna see in this life!
Oh man! Just come here to Sweden to watch the Northern Lights!
It was truly MAGICAL! I’m so grateful for living this life and being here in Sweden. A true blessing! 🙂
I was even able to click some pictures from my mobile phone. LOL. For once my phone proved its worth! Haha! Sometimes, I do feel the need to own a DSLR camera, to click those special moments. I hope I’ll be able to buy one soon 🙂
Anyway, here are some pictures, I hope they’ll make you feel the magic in the sky!
These are from my phone’s camera…
I know right, it just kept getting better! Now, this is one thing ticked off from the bucket list. But hey, I am traveling north to feel more of the magic!
And here is a DSLR picture captured by Dhruv Bhatt…
So, Keep an eye on the Kp index and you can drop by at Lappis beach for a spectacular aurora treat!
Have fun! Enjoy Life! Don’t forget to appreciate it!
Demons, ghosts, spooky witches, dead men, white walkers and of course clowns. Know what am talking about? No, Stockholm is not haunted, it’s the amazing Halloween!
Yesterday, we had the Stockholm’s annual Halloween parade at Kungsträdgården, organized by Shockholm.se. Very funnily, it was actually called “Shockholm – Scandinavia’s Largest Halloween Parade”, this event was indeed beyond all my expectations! The event started at around 3.30PM and went till 7, marching from the stage at Kungsträdgården to Gamla Stan, down Skeppsbron and back again to Kungsträdgården.
It’s November and days are getting darker every day. Fun gatherings like these definitely brighten up the mood. It wasn’t really surprising to see soo many Indians and people from every other nationality at the parade. It was amazing to meet new people in their scary costumes and to soak in some Stockholm-ness.
I met a lot of Indian ghosts too and this was what it was like…
“Hey, are you an Indian?”
“Oh yes! Are you an Indian white walker?”
“Haha, join the night king’s army!”
“Sorry, I support the king in the North”
HaHa, that was a super funny conversation we had. Sorry, if you’re not a GOT fan 😛
Here are some pictures from the event!

There were several performances and prizes were awarded to the best-dressed people. With spookiness and fun in the air, events like these must definitely not be missed.
By the way, hold on! Know how I went to the parade? you probably came across in the pictures. Anyway, here is another! Happy nightmares!
