VIND 2018

Do you know that Sweden has a plan to be fully powered by renewable energy in 2040? What does this mean for everyone interested in the renewable energy sector? These are the questions that will open the floor for this year’s VIND conference. In fact, the seminar begins with discussions and report presentations from key persons in the energy sector discussing the roadmap towards 2040, energy politics of the new parliament, the new report from IPCC on strengthened climate goals, world energy outlook for the year, 2018 and European wind energy. All in line with the conference theme which is, “Roadmap for a renewable 2040”

WHAT IS VIND?

VIND conference is the largest annual conference of the wind power industry in the Nordic region. It is a great platform to meet people within the renewable energy field and gain knowledge about the latest developments in wind power and generally, renewable energy.  For students, this is an opportunity to meet future employers or create contacts for either the master thesis or internships.

Also, in this conference, the award for the Swedish Renewable Energy Award is given to a company, outside the energy industry, which has made notable contribution to the transition of energy system. Last year, Apple won this award. I am looking forward to this year’s winner.
