About the speaker:

Marco Hartl (M) (PhD., MSc.) has been working and conducting research in the field of nature-based solutions (NBS) for more than 7 years. After finalizing his Master in Ecological Engineering at BOKU University Austria, he explored the opposite climatic extreme by working for BAUER Nimr, where he coordinated a research project at the world’s largest industrial constructed wetland, which is situated in the middle of the Omani desert. After that he joined the European Joint Doctorate programme Sustainable Product, Energy and Resource Recovery from Wastewater which he finished in mid 2020. Since then he is part of alchemia-nova, working in several projects including HOUSEFUL and DIVAGRI where he acts as technical coordinator aiming at creating circular buildings by utilizing NBS.
