Optical Networks Laboratory

ONLab’s research activities include optical network design, control and management, photonics in switching, network reliability and survivability, fiber access networks, and converged fiber-wireless networks. A particular attention is put on research problems related to reduction of network energy consumption and on techno-economic studies.

The Optical Networks Lab (ONLab) was established in January 2012 as a part of Communication Systems (CoS) Research unit in the School of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) of the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Kista, Sweden.

Previously ONLab was known as the Next Generation Optical Networks ( NEGONET ) group (active since 2006) that was as a part of the Photonics and Microwave Engineering (FMI) Laboratoryat KTH School of Information and Communication Technology in Kista, Sweden.

The list of publications from ONLab's members can be found here .
