Dear colleague!

We are pleased and excited to finally welcome you to the next Nordic Learning Analytics Summer Institute (NLASI 2022) to be held at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden, 13-14th of June 2022.

The theme of the Summer Institute is Learning-Centered Analytics: Supporting Education

Learning analytics can improve learning practice by transforming the ways we support learning processes. However, recent research efforts exhibit that learning analytics has largely been applied to measure multifaceted learning activities rather than to provide relevant support for learners and teachers. Consequently, this year Nordic LASI makes a special focus on the support mechanisms that can be offered to learners, teachers, and researchers through learning analytics and artificial intelligence.

NLASI draws together the Nordic Learning Analytics community to learn from experts, to share research and experience, and to investigate if there is a Nordic approach to learning analytics. During the event there will be keynote talks, hands-on workshops, tutorials, panels, and a firehose and poster/demo session in which to participate.

First and foremost, however, LASI-Nordic 2022 will be a chance for participants to share, discuss, and shape how the Nordic countries use/want to use Learning Analytics to create better conditions for improved learning teaching. Furthermore, the aim is to facilitate collaboration and sharing of knowledge on Learning Analytics within the Nordic community, and to determine if there is interest in developing a Nordic Special Interest Group (SIG) on Learning Analytics. The event is run in cooperation with Society for Learning Analytics Research (SoLAR).

We are welcoming junior and senior researchers, as well as practionaries, including EdTech and policy makers.

Nordic LASI 2022 is organized in collaboration with the Center for Digital Education at the University of Copenhagen and Centre for the Science of Learning & Technology (SLATE), University of Bergen, Norway.
