In the age of social media and AI, false information spreads faster than ever, but we rarely learn how to deal with it. In this workshop, you will improve your ability to view information critically.

María Lorenzo is an Environmental Scientist and currently a Master's student in Sustainable Technology. She is interested in science communication and how climate information circulates online, particularly in how climate misinformation and disinformation spread and how people can critically assess the information they encounter.

Register

Following a brief introduction, the workshop includes two interactive exercises. The first focuses on spotting misinformation and disinformation through examples like misleading headlines or AI-generated images. The second explores how emotions drive online engagement, and how to pause, disengage, and discuss information more critically together.
