History and Theory of Architecture

History of Architecture is a division responsible for teaching theory and history of architecture at B.Arch, and M.Arch levels, and for PhD-studies in the subject. The subject is part of the core-curriculum which gives good opportunities for integrating research and education. It also generally attracts public interest which gives ample opportunities for research dissemination through monographs, articles in the professional and daily, press, guide-books, exhibition-catalogues, and lectures.

Architectural history and theory studying architecture and buildings in a historical process, and links in their application to issues of context and typology, reconstruction and extension, restoration and conservation.
