KTH Architecture hosts Light Symposium

Published Oct 18, 2018

This year's Light Symposium, hosted by the Division of Lighting Design at KTH Architecture will take place on 5-6 December in Stockholm. The symposium will gather an inspired audience of architects, designers, engineers and companies to discuss the latest innovation in the lighting field.

The topic of this year’s event is Light and Architecture: Multi-sensory experiences.

"It reflects our interest in theoretical and applied knowledge about light and lighting in the architectural context. It also highlights the importance of a multidisciplinary design approach which includes all senses (haptics, sound, taste, … ) in order to cover the environmental factors affecting perception and health in architecture." says Federico Favero, one of the organisers.

The Light Symposium is a biannual event hosted by the division of Lighting Design, KTH, and Wismar University. KTH hosted two very successful sessions in 2010 and 2015, when we celebrated the UNESCO Year of Light in Stockholm.
