Project Communication

The division performs education and research in project management, collaboration, communication, information management, procurement, and construction logistics.

The research field covers the organization and management of the entire construction process, from concept and design to production and maintenance. The focus is on project members' communication and information management. The question is how best to organize communication and information management between project members who do not know each other but interact for a limited time and who all come from different companies, different places and different countries.

The division is responsible for the specialisation in Construction Project Management. Through a combination of architecture, engineering, economics and management we prepare students for taking on the construction project manager´s role to organize and manage the entire construction process. The specialisation has a clear profile towards the early stages, concept development and client perspective.

The Division of Project Communication engages in education and research on project leadership and communication.

Our research purview covers organization and leadership of the entire construction process from concept and design to production and maintenance. Project Communication focuses on communications between the various agents involved in a project. The question is how best to organize communication between project members who do not know one another, but who need to collaborate for a limited time and all come from different companies, different places, and different countries.

The Division is responsible for the master's track in Architectural Design and Construction Project Management. With a combination of architecture, engineering, and economics, students are prepared to organize and lead the construction process. The program has a special focus on the early stages, concept development, and the developer’s perspective.
