Exploring the high energy universe … by balloon.

Mark Pearce, Skolan för Teknikvetenskap
Neutron stars and black holes are amongst the most powerful sources of radiation in the universe. A new type of telescope built at KTH has recently shed new light on these enigmatic objects. Observations are made from the top of the atmosphere using a helium-filled balloon which is double the size of Globen!
