Erasmus Days visit KTH

Published Apr 04, 2007

2007 is the 20th birthday of the Erasmus Student Exchange Programme. This will be celebrated by the Erasmus Student Network by way of “Erasmus Days” arranged all over Europe. A minibus is now travelling between a number of European universities; now it is KTH´s turn to welcome it here in Sweden.

On Friday 27 April, Erasmus Day Stockholm takes place at KTH Main Campus. The event is arranged by The International Student Service (ISS), a unit of the KTH Student Union, jointly with our International Office. Outside the E Building at Campus Valhallavägen the minibus will be parked; it is manned by foreign volunteers who will talk to our undergraduate students about exchange studies at foreign universities.

This effort aims to collect information from ex-Erasmus students, to be distributed to decision-makers; the desired end result being to achieve both more and smoother student exchanges in the future. Erasmus Days also aim to market the exchange idea directly by word of mouth.

So far, the Erasmus Programme has enabled more than one million students to locate part of their study programme at foreign places of learning.
