KTH week in China on sustainable development

Published Oct 05, 2007

The KTH Joint Research Centre for Industrial Ecology (JRCIE) will arrange a Sino-Swedish Science & Technology Week in Jinan, China, between 10 and 13 October 2007.

Students from KTH will make presentations of our English master programmes. They will be supported by representatives from all our other centres in China, where workshops will also be held. KTH Campus staff members participating in this event will include Vice President Gunnar Landgren and Professor Ronald Wennersten.

Meetings with Chinese officials and businessmen will be held by a Swedish team of public service and business delegates, who will inform about their own home activities in promoting a good environment.

The overriding theme of this event is how the academy, the public sector and private business enterprises could make a joint effort towards better and more sustainable solutions in energy and environment technology. Also attending is Ms. Ulla Hamilton, Environment Commissioner, City of Stockholm. An academic forum dealing with co-operation in research around sustainable city design between China and the EU will also be held.
