Chapter launch in Spain

On May 11th about 50 KTH alumni gathered in Barcelona to take part in the launch of KTH Spain Alumni Chapter.

KTH vice-President Professor Ramon Wyss hosted the successfull Chapter launch event in one of Barcelona's old breweries Fabrica Moritz.

The event started with a mingle reception including open bar and dry snacks (some of them were amazing!). After one hour of getting to know each other and sharing old memories KTH vice President-Prof. Ramon Wyss took the mic and presented what KTH is doing as a university both locally and globally. Then KTH Alumni representative – Shanar Tabrizi explained all about the initiatives of KTH Alumni around the globe. Right after their presentations, the board members of the KTH Spain Alumni Chapter Karol, Oriol and Xavier briefly introduced what the chapter has done so far and the very next goals.

Only delayed by the ceremonial signature of the chapter agreement, the wide variety of tapas were served and there was no more time for speeches - but eating and enjoying!

It is important to highlight how overwhelming it was finding so much talent among the attendees and we are very confident that this chapter will definitely be a success. Last but not least it is interesting to point out the huge variety of working backgrounds that could be found; from startup-wise projects to big companies, passing through PhD projects in different fields as chemical, telecommunications or civil engineering but also business and marketing.

Again we want to thank everybody that assisted to the event and we are looking forward to upcoming events!
