The walk is about 6.5 miles (10.6 km) long and you can see some of Hampstead Heath's highlights on the way, such as the tomb of Karl Marx, Parliament Hill, the Hampstead pond, and more. After the walk, the group will enjoy lunch together at a pub in the area. Wear comfortable shoes, bring a water bottle and, in case of rain, bring a rain jacket.

The UK Alumni Chapter exchanged their regular pub meetings to networking hikes

KTH has over 1,500 alumni living in the United Kingdom where about a third are located in London. The UK Alumni Chapter was launched in 2017 and has since then organized a variety of events for alumni in the area to make new contacts and to network. A returning activity for the group, and a common get-together for the Brits, are their regular After Work meetups at different pubs around London. However, just like many other activities this spring the Chapter meetups had to be canceled. After the summer holidays when their regular meetups at pubs normally would have kicked off again, the Chapter decided to adapt to the current situation and organize their meetups in a socially distanced way. The group is meeting up to enjoy the fresh air together and go for walks around London’s greener areas. In September, they visited the Woodcote Park, which is located in the countryside in the South East of London. For their next meeting, they will go for a walk in the Hampstead Heath where you among other things can visit the tomb of Karl Marx. Join them on October 17!
