Library services

The library offers various services such as a manned information desk, self-service facilities, a café, printing services, computers, storage lockers, and much more.

Real-time occupancy

At the library, you can seek assistance from librarians at the information desk. During evenings, weekends, and public holidays, the library is staffed by student workers.

Close to the information desk you can borrow and return books, and collect your requested books through self service. On touch screens it is possible to search for books and journals, book group study rooms, use the map of the library to find rooms and much more.

Do you need help with finding literature? We are ready to help you. If you have a more extended question, it may be helpful to book a consultation  with a librarian.

Wifi/wireless network

If you are a KTH student or employee and bring your own computer, you can connect to KTH's network via outlet or Eduroam.

For guest and visitors there is a guest wifi. You cannot access e-resources from the guest wifi. You´ll find login information in the library.

Computers

The library has desktop computers for KTH students and staff. Use your KTH account to log in. See all available computers at the library

If you have no affiliation with KTH you can use our two guest computers to access e-resources and databases. There is no Office installed on the guest computers, only a web browser. You need to register for a library account before you can use the guest computers. The login is valid for two hours. You can register a library account  before your visit.

Printers and copy machines

As a student or staff at KTH, you can print, scan, and copy the library's printer using KTH Print. Learn more about KTH-Print

If you are not affiliated to KTH you can print up to two articles from our e-resources and databases. Contact the staff at the information desk for help.

Lockers

There are lockers in the room on the first floor (downstairs from the Entrance Hall). They have digital locks and can be used during the day free of charge. It is not allowed to store items overnight in the lockers, they are emptied every evening. Read more about the regulations of the lockers at the page Rules of Conduct at KTH Library . 

The terrace
You can use the terrace during the summer (1 April to 31 October).

Terrace

The Terrace is temporarily closed due to fire regulations.

There is a terrace which is open from 1 April to 31 October. You’ll find it two floors up (Level 4), accessible via the stairs in the Entrance Hall. Please note that the terrace is closed on Saturdays

Café

You can eat in the Entrance Hall, and here you'll find the café Stories.

There is no possibility to heat food in the library building, but there are microwaves around campus. Read more about microwaves and other services at campus .
