As modern technology makes us increasingly dependent on data, gaps in the data we are using can cause biased results in a sometimes astonishing number of ways.
Welcome to a book discussion about "Invisible women - exposing data bias in a world designed for men". In this book, author Caroline Criado Perez discusses how gaps in collecting data and old-fashioned or ignorant attitudes to how data is used perpetrate gender inequalities.
The book discussion is open to KTH students and staff and it will take place either online in zoom on 16th of November at 13:15-15 or on site in the KTH Library on 30th of November at 13:15-15. The first students to register will get a free copy of the book. The discussion will be in English.
Please sign up here for the book discussion on the 16th of November online.
Please sign up here for the discussion in the KTH Library on the 30th of November.
