Many of you might be familiar with the term Open Science. Part of Open Science is about publishing Open Access and Open Data so that everyone can access research results and data. Another part of Open Access, that might not be as known, is Open Educational Resources (OER), which is about publishing openly licensed educational materials and technologies. The aim of OER is to break down barriers of affordability and accessibility to educational material. In 2019 "The Recommendation on OER" was adopted by UNESCO’s General Conference at at its 40th session.

In the workshop we will give you an introduction to the field of Open Educational Resources. You don't need to have any previous experience.
The workshop includes:
What are open educational resources (OER)? Where to find them, how to use them
What to consider when producing your own OER's. Licencing, options for sharing et al.
Why would you want to use or produce OER's? Are there rules or guidelines to consider?
This workshop is mainly for doctoral students, teachers and researchers. The language of the workshop is English.
