About the seminar

Attend this seminar and you’ll obtain invaluable advice from a senior Springer Nature editor on how to get published (and attract readers) in a scientific journal. The first thing you will learn is why publishing your research is so important and what makes an academic paper noteworthy. Here, you’ll get an overview of the different types of journals and articles as well as what editors are looking for in your paper. We compliment this with tips on writing and structuring your article, followed by an overview of the submission, peer review, and publication workflow.

Throughout the talk we’ll reference all the key topics that you need to know about, including: SEO and metadata, research integrity and ethics, ORCID, publishing your research data, and altmetric impact data. Further, you will obtain an introductory overview of the pre-paid Open Access arrangements that KTH has with a selection of Springer Nature journals – over 2400 titles, including Nature Communications and Scientific Reports.

At the end of the session, you’ll get a chance to put any remaining questions directly to our experienced editor. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to equip yourself with the core skills to get published and noticed.
