About the book
In Animal Farm, the animals on a farm rebel against their owner in the hope of creating a society based on freedom and equality. However, events soon take an unexpected turn. Through what appears to be a simple story, George Orwell explores how power can change people and how ideals can become distorted over time. First published in 1945, the novel raises questions that remain highly relevant today.
