KTH is looking for a young scientist to attend the Stockholm International Youth Science Seminar!

Are you a young scientist between 18 and 24? Are you interested in meeting some of the world’s leading young scientists and presenting your research project at the prestigious Stockholm International Youth Science Seminar? KTH Royal Institute of Technology is now looking for one participant to the next Stockholm International Youth Science Seminar held during the Nobel Week on 4-11 December. Application deadline is September 17, 2017.

Stockholm International Youth Science Seminar (SIYSS) is arranged annually by the coalition Unga Forskare (Young Scientists), since 1976. Each year in December, twenty-five young scientists from highly ranked universities all over the world are invited to participate during a week of exciting activities. The candidates have the honour of presenting an individual research project at the SIYSS seminar which is open to both students, scientists and the public. SIYSS takes place in Stockholm during the Nobel week, which means that the candidates are also invited to participate in some prestigeous events suchs as the Nobel lectures, the Nobel ceremony and the Nobel Banquet.

The Royal Institute of Technology is now looking for one participant to the next Stockholm International Youth Science Seminar held during the Nobel Week on 4-11 December. Apply before sunday the 17th of September.

To apply you must:

  • Be over 18 but not yet 25 years of age on the 4th of December 2017
  • Have completed a research project at KTH
  • Speak English fluently and be able to present your research project to a big audience
  • Have completed a master’s or doctoral research project within biology, chemistry, physics, environmental science, medicine, physiology, mathematics, science of engineering or a combination of these disciplines. Litterature studies are not accepted.

Attach the following documents to your application:

  • Curriculum vitae and a personal letter
  • Project description (max 3000 characters or one A4)
  • Letter of recommendation from your supervisor
