Data Carpentry Course

Welcome to a course in Data Carpentry on November 13-14. Take the opportunity to learn more about handling data with various software tools.

The course is offered by KTH Royal Institute of Technology in collaboration with the Karolinska Institute and Stockholm University.

The course is held in English and is aimed primarily at Ph.D. students who work with spreadsheets and want to improve their data handling skills.

Tickets for the course are distributed on a first registered basis, and preference is given to those willing to participate both days.

Syllabus

  • Day 1
    November 13 at 9.00 – 16.30: Introduction to Data (Regular Expressions). Open Refine.
  • Day 2
    November 14 at 9.00 – 16.30: Introduction to Unix Shell. Databases and SQL
