Published Nov 30, 2020

This applies to KTH Library until January 24, due to the stricter national guidelines.

Opening hours

Between January 7 and January 24, the main library will be open for two hours a day, so that KTH students and employees can access our printed collections. These opening hours are:

Monday–Friday: 12 noon–2 pm

The library in Kista can be accessed by KTH students and employees with their access cards. The library in Södertälje will be closed during this period.

All our digital services are open as usual!

Loans and reservations

We have extended the loan periods when the library is closed. If you want to know which loan period applies to your particular loans, log in to your library account.

If you wish to return books outside our opening hours, please do so using the book drop outside the main library entrance. This also applies to books that were borrowed from Kista or Södertälje. Remember that returning books in the library's book drop is always an option at any time.

Our external stacks

Due to the stricter general guidelines, neither printed books nor other material from the KTH Library's external stacks are currently delivered. Please get back to us after January 24 with your requests for interlibrary loan or purchase of printed books. E-books and articles are delivered as usual.

Loans and reservations

Requests for books to and from Kista and Södertälje are temporarily closed between Dec 7 and Jan 24.

You can request books at the Main Library, however, the pick-up times may be slightly longer than usual..

Access to electronic material off campus

As a student or employee with a KTH account, you automatically have access to all electronic material through the library, even if you work remotely.
