Electrical Engineering and Computer Science

The School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science is one of five schools at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. The school conducts research and education in electrical engineering, computer science, and information and communication technology.

The School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science started on the 1st of January 2018 and is the result of the merge of three operations: the School of Electrical Engineering, the School of Computer Science and Communication and the School of Information and Communication Technology.

Research

The school conducts research at sixteen divisions and a number of research centres. It includes some 200 faculty members, 360 doctoral students and 230 research and teaching staff.

High rankings

Our research is internationally recognized and placed high in international rankings within our field. Several of our researchers are registered as Fellows of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers , the world’s largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology.

Studies

The school offers one bachelor's programme, five master of science programmes, 16 master's programmes and docotral studies in four fields in English. We also offer several bachelor's programmes in Swedish. In total, we educate about 4400 people within our programmes.

Collaborations

On a strategic level, the school collaborates with several large companies and organisations within the field of research. A few of these are ABB, Bombardier and Scania. There is also a number of adjunct professors connected to our faculty.
