    To become a doctoral student at KTH, you need to apply for a vacant position. If you are offered a position, you are admitted to a doctoral subject by the KTH school that announced the posision and you will follow a doctoral programme. Each of the five KTH schools offer a variety of doctoral programmes and subjects. The general syllabus for a doctoral subject defines the compulsory and recommended courses and other requirements in order to qualify for examination.
