Eunice Pereira Ramos
Eunice joined in October 2014 to develop her Master Thesis under the Climate, Land, Energy and Water strategies (CLEWs) research area. Her study aimed at the analysis of the water-energy nexus from the perspective of shared water resources in transboundary river basins, particularly focusing on the Sava River Basin. This was performed through the development of a multi-country energy systems model where aspects such as water availability and water use in power generation were explored. Eunice is currently working on the country-level CLEWs assessment of Nicaragua, in result of a KTH and UNDESA collaboration, where again the water and energy sectors are strongly intertwined. Part of this project involved carrying out capacity building efforts in water modelling aimed at government officials in Nicaragua. Eunice holds a Diploma in Physics and Chemistry and an MSc in Sustainable Energy Systems.
