He joined dESA in February 2016 and is currently researcher at the division. His main work has been on the code development, community management and application of OSeMOSYS. He carried out several capacity building efforts on modelling tools for sustainable development in Turkey, Thailand, Ethiopia, Tunisia and others, in collaboration with UN and other international institutions. He is scientific manager of the Horizon 2020 REEEM project, carrying out integrated modelling of EU decarbonisation pathways. He has been course responsible and teacher in MJ2380-2381 Introduction to Energy Systems Analysis and Applications. In 2009 he got his Bachelor's degree and in 2012 the Master's degree, both in Energy Engineering at Politecnico di Milano. He got the PhD in Energy and Nuclear Science and Technology at Politecnico di Milano in 2016, with a research about the integration of short-term flexibility constraints into long-term energy system models.
