Key areas/Research interest

Currently Anna is the project manager for a research project called Competitive service work: innovative or industrialized? Her research after obtaining her Ph.D. focuses on how Knowledge Intensive (Service-based) Businesses balance the need for client orientation/innovativity on the one hand, and standardization/efficiency on the other. This research project spanns from the year of 2010 until the year of 2013 and encompasses several well-know companies, for instance; SEB, Ernst & Young, Grontmij, Logica, and Technia. The research project is funded by the Swedish Governmental Agency for Innovation Systems (VINNOVA).


Anna has extensive pedagogical experience both as the course responsible for a number of KTH-courses in Project Management, Multi Project Management, as well as tutoring Master Thesises on second-cycle level. Being the course responsible teacher means having the primary responsibility for course management and administration, the course content, educational design, literature, examination and all lectures and exercises as well as project assignments. It also includes the responsibility to further develop the course, based on both students’ course evaluations from previous academic years and own educational ideas. At the moment Anna’s current teaching and course responsibility is for the department's Introductory course in Industrial engineering and management as well as the advanced course in industrial project management. Anna also teaches as a lecturer, seminar leader and mentor for other courses in engineering programs at KTH, for example in courses dealing with basic industrial management and project management. Additionally Anna works with externally commissioned education, both nationally and internationally, in the fields of multi-project management as well as leadership and management of individual projects. Anna has also done a considerable amount of pedagogical development of undergraduate (Bachelor’s level) and Master’s level courses.

Between 2010-2016 Anna was the Program Director of the Master of Science in Engineering education, Degree Program Industrial Engineering and Management (300 ECTS, five years, 150 students/year). And since March 1st 2017 Anna is the Dean of Education at the school of Industrial Engineering and Management.
