Innovation, Digitalization and Business Model Transformation

This research area focuses on innovation of products, services, processes and business models enabled by new digital technology. This includes the development of more efficient processes and ways of working, as well as disruptive development of products and services generating radically new or increased value for customers and other stakeholders. Of particular interest is the identification of managerial challenges facing established companies and public organizations engaged in digital transformation, and the strategies and organizational solutions that allow them to handle these challenges.

The research is often performed in close collaboration with technology-intensive companies and encompasses surveys as well as case studies and experiments.
