Model-based engineering methodology and integrated engineering environments

All engineering activities include models of different kinds. Mechatronics and embedded systems are characterized by multiple technologies (mechanics, electronics, software) and aspects (security, cost, performance, etc.). The common development situation therefore involves a variety of experts, heterogeneous models, and various tools. Today, individual disciplines such as regulatory technology each work with well-developed environments for model-based development. Integrating these - or at least getting many disciplines / expert / tools working together - is still a big challenge!

Our research focuses on methodology for working with multiple models/tools, as well as supporting the integration of information and tools, typically across established disciplines/domains. Specific research areas include multivariate modeling, model integration and tool integration.
