Research

Tribology with special focus on friction and wear in contacts between rough surfaces. The work has mainly been theoretical and concentrated on developing models for prediction of friction and wear behaviour in common machine elements such as gears, roller bearings, cams etc. A smaller but not insignificant part of the research has been experimental, mostly concerning measurements of friction, wear and surface topography.
