For those who are eager to change their careers, find new jobs or continue their education, the Competence Fair in Södertälje was an opportunity to establish new contacts. Last weekend the recruitment and education fair was held at the entrance of KTH - Södertälje Science Park - and KTH was present.

- Of course, we take every opportunity to be present as an important player in Södertälje. This time, the opportunity to study, research or work at KTH Södertälje was emphasized, says Rita St Clair Maitland, study and career counselor.
Around 25 local companies looking for new labor showed up, as well as recruitment and staffing companies, for the approximately 400 visitors who appeared on Saturday.
The background to the fair is the companies in Södertälje's need for labor. Being able to get the right skills for the available jobs is a challenge too.
- There is a shortage in several sectors today, in healthcare, elementary school, hotel and restaurant and the transport sector. Also engineers in industry and production, says Maria Carapi, business developer in Södertälje Municipality.
