First PhD defence at KTH Södertälje
On June 4, 2021, Mats Zackrisson defended his PhD thesis "Life cycle assessment of electric vehicle batteries and new technologies". This is the first dissertation at KTH's campus in Södertälje.
The dissertation wants to facilitate the use of life cycle analysis (LCA) for evaluation and improvement of environmental performance for electric drive batteries. The lack of LCA data for several battery chemistries and some associated LCA methodological difficulties were identified as important research gaps. The broader purpose of the dissertation was to contribute to sustainable industrial and societal change that involves new technology.
The opponent was Dr Anders Nordelöf, Chalmers.
Supervisors have been Prof Magnus Wiktorsson (KTH), Dr Christina Jönsson (RISE) and Dr Martin Kurdve (RISE).
